Ghost Ghost power wheel washer

I have two Ghosts in .22 caliber, and both are HP. One came with a white hard plastic washer in the front male rod of the min to max power wheel that inserts into the rear of the rifle and the other did not.
Does anyone know the actual purpose of this washer?

Sorry no idea. I have 3 and none have a washer must be something new on new guns? How new is the gun that has it?

Yes, good call.... The one that has the washer in it I got a few months ago and the other I have had for a couple of years now. I should have added they both shoot equally well also, with or without the washer.

I would think its possible that they added it to make it a bit smoother? My guess

Could be too that they realized 17 - 20 had practically no change so they are spacing it back a bit

We have a few ghosts here at the house. Only 1 had the plastic washer/spacer.....Gone!!!!!!!! Never saw a change with or without.....Figured without is one less thing that can break.

Methinks the washer adds to the lubricity between the two surfaces. Mine has no washer but I put a light coat of moly grease on it.
