177 flow through like probe you are holding, .22 pin like the probe to the left. The "oval" hole on the probe looks modded, yes? The photos I posted, I measured the 2 axises of the oval transfer port on the probe and outlet round port at the end of the probe.

The oval hole in your .177 probe looks very similar to the one in my .177 probe. And I didnt mod it, came from AOA/BRK as seen in the photo I shared.
 
@tec, the flow-through type probe is certainly a choke point so very relevant.

What do the measurements on the transfer port through the barrel look like?
haha no clue, I guess its time to go figure that out...

So.......if I got a 177 pin probe for the 177 20.5 gr Neilson slugs......I wonder how much more velocity that would be...is there such a thing? B&K don't offer one...

Not sure what the extra velocity would be, but it'd be interesting to find out.

Thinking through the dimensions....If a guy was willing to single load, then the only part of the .22 probe that would need modified would be the tip-just the part that fits into the .177 barrel. If magazine use was desired, the diameter of the .22 would have to be reduced further back on the shaft of the probe, to allow it to go through the magazine.

If a guy had an extra .22 extended probe, a .177 extended probe could be made pretty easily, and even easier if single feeding was acceptable. I think a hand held drill and a belt grinder would even do the trick in reducing the OD of the .22 probe to work (although a lathe would be the more refined way to go about it). A bit of a gutsy move but could net some fps.
 
I’ve done a bit of shooting with the 177 ghost hp and these are some numbers I’ve gotten in testing i also believe that daystate designs their valve to work optimally from around 130-150 bar.
Some numbers for anyone interested in the 177 hp Ghost
With the light spring
13 gr h&h slugs 770-930 140 bar
16 gr h&n slugs 625-830. “
16 gr jsb pellets 930. 140 bar
With stock spring
13 gr h&n slugs 940-975 160 bar
16gr h&n slugs 840-900. 160bar
20 gr h& n slugs 840 on max 160 bar
With the light spring and 140 bar i get 805 wheel on 3 with 13gr jsb

Ive also shot the gun all year till the pa cup at 80 bar with 13 gr jsb and it shot extremely well though the hammer wheel did nothing i now have the gun set to 135 bar and on pw 6 i get 805 fps with the 13 jsb and push 13 h&n slugs to 900 i believe pw max
Just squeezed in some testing before the monsoon....177HP Flitz polished barrel, LP Spring (no spacer) H&N BM 10.65 gr unsorted, Whiscombe oil lubed, tightened up into 1 ragged hole for 5 shot groups at 36 yards at ~900 ft/s. That was at ~92 bar PW7 and ~115 bar PW8 Next plan is to see what Regulator pressure vs PW gives the smallest velocity standard deviation. Should probably state it has a Donnyfl KOI 177/22 cal moderator on it. (I got the rifle set up from Tom Simmons at High Pressure Pneumatics, he was/is very patient with all of my questions, and asked me questions that to help me figure out what I was really looking for in a rifle)

I find its not worth searching for the lowest sd as im very seldom above 2 or 3 i regardless of pressure. With my gun i have to shoot 3-4 shots then a string if you really want to see whats what i think the barrel needs to stabilise its temp

That's pretty high, and might be reducing your fpe. The valves in the Ghost have this counterintuitive behavior where the power output starts to go down above a certain reg pressure (all other adjustments left the same).
Mine seems to be around 150bar.

Any reg creep you're seeing is likely b/c your reg is set so high, ditto for slow refill rates of the plenum.

But hey, if that's what it takes to achieve your goals/uses than go with it.
Thought I replied to this...besides wanting to be able to shoot Heavy, Monster and Beast without having to change the hammer spring. The higher the regulator pressure-plenum pressure, the gas/air has more energy stored in it, the plenum has more mass of air store in it. More energy means less should be required to achieve a pellet velocity. More mass of air in the plenum coupled with less air mass being needed should mean that the plenum pressure change with each shot should be less....the downside is that the regulator flow rate is reduced..so it appears to take longer to refill the plenum after a shot than at lower regulator settings...but I haven't actually done the testing-collected the data to validate this, other than, with the nylon spacer be able to shoot all 3 pellets with the same hammer spring set up.

Pulled out my .22 Revere..its such a beautiful rifle…but since the Ghost arrived I haven’t shot it…the Regulator (as is, unadjusted from AoA) is set at 190 Barg. Will try to Chronograph it today
 
Revere .22 "Bottle" 250 barg, Reg *190 barg. FX V2 Chrono on barrel right before 0db Moderator, JSB E Jumbo 15.89 gr unsorted. Definitely a louder "snap" when pulling the trigger, and the trigger is nicer (not adjusted vs the Ghost which I still haven't adjusted) and the shot is louder too than the .22 Ghost HP with the KOI moderator. Rifle has sat un-shot since *Sept. Shot 1 magazine (11). Velocities consistent from pellet #1 to #11, Regulator was 190 barg at the end, "bottle" was ~222 barg. 886 ft/s average, 11 ft/s spread, 3.6 ft/s STD. Going to put the Ghost back to .22 and compare side by side...currently have been shooting it with ~140 barg Regulator pressure...will compare at that then take the regulator up to 190 barg and compare.
*zero Regulator creep (measured in Bar vs PSI) in 3 months of sitting idle in a case

try the ghost at 140 bar pw 15 for 960 fps and see how it shoots. I shot a 3/4” 5 shot group With mine today @ 100 and out of 1 mag i had 2 groups of 4 @ 3/4” 1 just above and 1 just below the bull with 3 shots out farther. Think it just flyers? Oh and thats 25.4 mrds

I added a 1.5 mm pin probe to my BRK Ghost .177 HP and that increased the FPS with about 60 👍🙂

I will be opening up the transfer port as well - We already did it on my friends Delta Wolf .177 HP and it added almost 150 FPS to his existing velocity setups 👍🙂🎯

Soren where did you get the pin probe? And how are you opening up the transfer, just ovaling the hole?
 
We modified the original pellet probe 👍🙂

I was thinking more along the lines of getting a .22 pin probe and having its “pin” diameter turned down…but the two guys that said they were interested in doing it stopped responding to the emails and some obviously capable guys that post on youtube never responded to the inquiry.
Been way to busy to try again…let alone do some shooting!

That's mighty impressive Soren, didn't think a pin swap in .177 could net that! I recall from somewhere (possibly @Franklink extensive Ghost review) that the transfer port was pretty tiny on the .177and gains could be had by enlargening it. What grain ammo netted you that 50/60 fps gain... or was that mostly across the board? In your picture of the probes, the pin is inserted into the hole I'm guessing? Press fit or did you thread it? Curious🙏 Way cool!

I was shooting JSB KO 13.43 gr slugs and added almost 60 FPS by switching from the pellet probe to the pin probe 👍🙂🎯

Press fit with epoxy for the 1.5 mm steel pin 👍🙂
