Whats interesting is it has the adjustable reg but no hammer spring adjuster.AOA has changed the picture of the new Evol .30 it has listed, it now shows the fluted 21 in. tapered barrel
I noticed this too... that was the adjustment for the balanced valve I believe, I believe Toms design uses an "auxiliary piston" to allow the opposing air to aid in closing the valve after its struck .... and thats what you were adjusting, but I could be totally mistaken, my memory is a little foggy.Whats interesting is it has the adjustable reg but no hammer spring adjuster.
Feels like I remember Tom saying those were on the HPS only.Whats interesting is it has the adjustable reg but no hammer spring adjuster.
So this is a little confusing, is Tom not ditching the old design? and merely upgrading them with external reg and new barrels , while he still works on the new HPS?Feels like I remember Tom saying those were on the HPS only.
We are all confused… it has been in process so long, that it also seems like things changed from 2 years ago when discussions started about this. I was looking yesterday and couldn’t find the threads I was looking for.So this is a little confusing, is Tom not ditching the old design? and merely upgrading them with external reg and new barrels , while he still works on the new HPS?
That is as I recall. The standard EVOL gets these few upgrades, the HPS will have the other adjustments as well.We are all confused… it has been in process so long, that it also seems like things changed from 2 years ago when discussions started about this. I’m sure I’ll butcher this, but this is what I remember taking from one of Tom’s posts… I don’t expect the standard Evols to be different beyond the external reg and barrels. The HPS was the one to get bigger changes including more power, new balance valve, and external hammer spring adj.
Based on the fact that it doesn't have the shroud and theres no factory suppressor on it, yes that looks to be a 21 inch barrel. So regarding the new model on AOA… Standard Evol with 21” SubMoa barrel…
Does that size look like a 21” barrel to those of you with an Evol or in the know?
The only reason I ask is that Tom’s last update said that they had only completed 24” barrels and next would be 18” and then .22 barrels. Obviously, anything could have changed, but curious if that spec could be wrong…
Thanks for confirming.Based on the fact that it doesn't have the shroud and theres no factory suppressor on it, yes that looks to be a 21 inch barrel.
Also the pricing dropped and changed yet again, now $2795
Just dropped the price $600 more!Based on the fact that it doesn't have the shroud and theres no factory suppressor on it, yes that looks to be a 21 inch barrel.

I can't believe that this is still for sale, other than folks wanting to hold out for the new HPS with the adjustable dwell. This thing is probably a tack driver. So whose gonna buy it?????
Except nobody has any clue what the specs on a 21” .30 are supposed to be.I can't believe that this is still for sale, other than folks wanting to hold out for the new HPS with the adjustable dwell. This thing is probably a tack driver.
