Was shooting steel yesterday in-between pigeons getting blasted with the HM1000x. It honestly gave me the though of selling the ghost and buying another HM1000x for a hunting rifle.....lol

Ok I spent two hours shooting this afternoon after work.

Shot the 30 grain slugs I had made, as well as some Howlers, FX Hybrids and some JSB Knock Outs. At 50 yards there was nothing really to be to excited about. Though the numbers were quite good, and really consistent. I did move out to 100 yards and to be honest I was more upset than anything. Groupings I was lucy to get ANY of them to produce a group. Most I was lucky to get 8 rounds on an 8.5" x 11" paper! I did play with speeds a little bit to see if anything changed, but honestly not much did. I would get 4 or 5 rounds to go into a decent group.......and then the others would just go nuts.

I did play with the Donny Sumo and an Impulse Air 1200 ( forgot the 1350 at home )

I am planning on putting the original barrel and try the same test. Going to leave the regulator and the spring the same to try and keep as much as I can consistent.

I am sitting down and tired now.... so will get pictures of the numbers tomorrow, and maybe show the terrible 100 yard group page. Looks like a shot gun blast honestly, as I gave up replacing the page and just shot to see if anything would group......though the center looks really clean! lol

Yeah I hate days like this. Was really hoping to see some great things, but it was like getting kicked in the crotch.

With the weather starting to get colder and the days getting shorter up here, the time after work to shoot outdoors are coming to an end. If the weather is decent, I may try and push out this weekend and get some daylight while shooting.

Ah, that's brutal, new barrel doesn't seem to love slugs. Thats no better than the stock 600 pellet barrel with slugs (mine would same hole 2 or 3 at 40Y and then spray the next 2 or 3... I wasn't mad I knew that would be the case, just had to see for myself)
I am in the process of getting a price on the Brk slug barrel myself from my dealer. @Centercut has a new thread on his 28" L.W. barrel he just got in his Skout Evo....deadly combination he has going!

Yeah I saw that thread and am wanting one for sure.

Have my name on the list for one of the Sub-MOA barrels as well, to see if I can get one of those as well.

The other thing is that my shop just got another metal lathe, so I may be able to sneak a barrel in the machine after work and get something machined up. Though may have to talk the boss into it, or buy him some snacks or something .... lol

Thought it was 100Y at first and was thinking not too bad but...50Y!? Yikes, my Ghost with Mrds definitely beats that.
Did you just hold dead on for every group?

Yeah, if those were 100yd groups I would order a barrel, but my stock hp ghost will shoot near MOA or better 5 shot groups at 50yd (limiting factor being me). I suppose I will just keep my place in line at AOA for the sub-moa .22 barrel for now.

Barrel has been swapped over, tensioner installed and ready to test. Going to stop by the range after work to try the same ammo to see what happens.

At the range so no EXACT measurements.....but my average sized thumb???. Lol

Now keep in mind that I forgot my mags at home. So these were all single loaded by hand...not easy, and not quick. But it did work.
