Ghost Ghost TJ Barrel 3 Groove 28" * Shooting started on pg 4 *

Well I have been talking to "some people" about barrels again, and I found over on AGN Thammer and he is making me a barrel for the Ghost! Will be a 3 groove barrel at 28" long. So the tensioner will no longer work on the barrel, though I could get a longer section of carbon and it will be good. Spend a few hours talking with him figuring things out, and honestly couldn't be more excited. Was given some pricing on other barrels and this barrel isn't cheap, but it is no where near expensive either.

Did get in touch with Thammer today just trying to figure out when to expect the barrel, or what his thoughts were. Not really pushing to have the barrel quickly as the weather up here still sucks and it getting cold again. But he was talking about only a couple of days to get the barrel done. I was LUCKY to message him when he was all set up ready to do another Ghost barrel, so one more is easy to do!

When the barrel gets here I will post up when I can, and of course will do groups as well. Planning on running anywhere from a 23-26 grain slug through the barrel. Just need to find what speeds and weights the rifle likes. And thankfully Thammer gave me a range of speeds that he has had success with, so hopefully I can replicate them and get a sweet shooting rifle.

Hopefully your 28" 3 groove TJ performs better than the one I bought from him for a Taipan Veteran.

An argun buddy bought two at the same time as I did (his went into Red Wolfs) and all 3 were abandoned for lack of accuracy.

Just talked with the builder and he is working on my barrel right now. So hopefully in a few days I will have it in my hands to be able to get some pictures and some reviews. Also talking with him about getting barrels made for the RAW rifles as well. So will be testing and working on those as well

I am not sure, and too lazy to look, but unless Troy Hammer is getting his 3-groove blanks from TJ's, you should probably edit the title of this post to ghost-TH-barrel-3-groove. It just looks a little confusing to me, so I guess I am also kind of asking the question also, is Troy just finishing TJ barrels?

Thank you! I did not know that. For some reason I thought that he was ordering them from SubMOA, probably because I never heard of a 3-groove before and SubMOA are new too. Interested to hear about how they do.

Well right now I am starting to get a little upset that it is taking so long. Was shown pictures a week or so ago and things looked good...... now nothing. Would have thought I would be shooting by now.

Just got a message from the builder and he is bluing the barrel and it will be going out tomorrow or monday. He had some major issues with his house and that pulled him away. Things come up and happen so no worries. When the barrel comes I will do a full run down of the barrel

I am really hoping that the barrel shoots great, because honestly the waiting is starting to pain me. I get it that people get busy and things come up, but holy cow.

I will get the barrel installed and hit the range. It should be really nice here this weekend, as long as the wind holds out. Not sure if my 25lbs of lead rod is enough for testing

Really looking forward to seeing your results. I pinged Thammer, and the prices are not bad supposing the barrels shoot accurately. If you get decent results at 100+ yards I am going to have to start working on justifying an upgrade to my wife

I will let you know. Was also talking with him about barrels for the hm1000 rifles. So I may end up testing some for him as well. If I can get some heavier slugs to shoot good in that gun it will be a monster
