I’d say my obsession level is 9.9/10. I literally obsess about Airguns pretty much all the time because I can shoot all the time. There’s always something in the Airgun world to obsess about. Healthy? I don’t know. It’s probably healthy because I don’t obsess about anything else that can ruin a marriage and that’s probably why my wife doesn’t mind the Airgun obsession. I’m either at home, work or at the range. Maybe if I worked at a job where I couldn’t just stop and shoot anytime it would’ve been different but I wouldn’t change a thing. Oh and I’d never make Airguns a career or a money maker it’s the best way to ruin a good “hobbsession” yes that’s a made up word. I learned this years ago ruining my love of motorcycles by becoming a motorcycle tech. Now I don’t even want to look at a motorcycle lol.

I hear you on that part! I loved cars/trucks so I became an auto mechanic. I now hate cars. So I quit and worked on heavy equipment. The obsession for me is different. I can't shoot as much as you so it's like I can never get it out of my system. So its powerful yup 😅 My dad/brother mostly shoot powder burners and I show up with my airguns and show em what real accuracy is about 🤭 Although my brother just got an HMR... I have about 8 screens open on my phones internet tab rn.... 1 is my email the other 7 are airgun stuff. The last email is from D&L airguns about my Slavia 630 order... LOL I won't deny its a 10 outta 10 for me 🤣🙄 Probably need to get this under control at some point...not a cry for help 😜

You’re amongst friends here
Well, since I’m among friends and all, I’ll go into it a little bit further. About a year and a half ago I had an issue with some squirrels. They got up inside several of my vehicles and chewed the electrical wiring, a considerable amount of damage. But I’m good with a soldering iron and I can follow a wiring schematic. I tried looking online for what to do about nuance animals and I tried various courses of action with poor results.
So I talked with some of my buddies at work and they suggested that I get a pellet rifle so I did. It was just a gamo from Walmart. I had to learn about it and practice with it so while I was doing doing some research I found HAM. I learned a lot and still have a very very long way to go. Something out of necessity is turned into a very serious hobby for me that is, I know that what I have is a drop in the bucket compared to most of you, but what I lack I make up for in enthusiasm. I enjoyed my kind of target, shooting hiding behind a tree and aiming for squirrel like targets, and I’m starting to really appreciate plinking same method. I’m always ready for the occasional pesky invader. Anyway, the Gamos long gone and the three I have so far I’m pretty happy with.

That’s awesome!! It went from a need to a hobby. I’m sure a lot of folks can relate.

Pest animals are definitely a solid reason I am here today as well. To be honest (with am example of course) i have been doing my best to rationalize spending $3000 on an air rifle for the past few months (brk ghost) How have I come to this point!? The gun will be of course, if I get it, the ultimate king of my collection and its mighty sweet but...HOW....am I even ok with this!? Normally I am an average frugal human being, mortgage, kids etc 🤣. Of course....scope, mounts, light, etc all cost extra. I would never pay close to this for any other toy in my life incl powder burners. I told my wife it's the last one I'm getting so i think that's how I am getting away with it🤔😂 Now if I could somehow shoot the moles digging up my lawn lately with them!?

I can relate brother. Who in their right mind spends that much on an airgun? This guy. I’d never spend that much on a PB ever. My most expensive PB is a Benelli m2 for doves.
I’d never spend $3000 on a pb but somehow find it ok to buy Airguns for that. Same here I’m in debt with car payments, rent……(this wasn’t meant to turn this into a pb talk please don’t derail fellas lol)

I can understand. I spend more on scopes than I ever did on pb guns. Go figure.

I think it is my healthy outdoor hobby and I have loved shooting as long as I can remember starting with my Red Rider BB gun. Digital slot cars are my healthy indoor hobby. Both have turned into collections of fine art and so it is possible that I could be in my second child hood as they say but my darling wife is totally convinced that I have lost my mind.

Likely 7/10. I have several high end PCPs but I don't focus on that year round. I participate in many other interests throughout the year. I do try to learn as much as I can as opposed to a passing interest in what's going on.
