@Zelos1 If you are not an expert level hunter, I would highly suggest that you shy away from a .30 airgun to shoot hogs. The one exception I am aware of would be a .308 Airforce Texan.
Thank You for your words of caution.
Without sounding like a braggart, I am extremely confident in my hunting “prowess” having taken deer, elk, mountain lions, coyotes and innumerable rodentia and birds with everything from red ryders to shotguns and rifles of many sizes and varieties.
You are correct in your caution. Ethical taking of animals is 90% shot placement and 10% weapon selection.
My concern is how much fooling around do i have to do to get the fpe at the limited terminal distances that will be involved in my hunts.

@Zelos1 I wasn’t speaking from an ethical standpoint. I’m speaking from my experiences shooting hogs with airguns. If you start a hog hunting thread or a RAW tuning thread with questions, I’m sure there are a couple of members who may be able provide input that you may be able to use.

I would be thrilled to hear first hand information and great stories of hog/airgun encounters.
There is a tiny bit of old info on YouTube, a fellow whacking them with a .25 cal.
Alligator hunt in Florida was interesting too.
Maybe I’ll look into how to start a discussion.
Thanks for your help
