Over barrel or Reflex moderators

Some shrouds just tension the barrel and the cavity isn't available for the gas to expand into, like the original Kral Puncher Breaker. Some have the space open to share the volume. An overbarrel/reflex moderator comes back over the barrel and uses the volume like a shroud would. Some are different than others but that's the jist of it.

if the barral dosnt have a shroud they can be levraged the the can itself can be brought back over the barral.
other wise you have to move the leangth of the can out front.

They really are not all that hard to make honestly. The fact that most rifles are coming with full shrouds anyway, the added benefit of a reflex mod isn't needed.

There are a ton of them if you look over in the UK market, but trying to get them shipped to the US is going to be a pain in the back side.

Thank you for explaining this, I didn't know what they meant either. The best moderator I have used is the Donny fl Yokozuna. Not only dampens the sound on my Texan 308, it also fine tunes your shots.
