Slayer Interested in Purchasing a .452 Slayer Hunter - Wait Time?

It will probably be some time. I would get ahold of Tom and talk with him to see if he has any of them in the process of being made. The other option is to keep looking around other forums and asking if people have one that they are looking at selling. Though typically the people that have the rifle don't let them go very easily.
@Woogie_man I would appreciate that. I'm not too enthused about buying an older used gun that is out of production from an owner. Who knows how many times the gun has changed hands and/or who did the maintenance? People tamper with guns and screw things up and I am leery of inheriting someone else's project gun or junk. Additionally I am not familiar with this gun and I don't know what parts availability and support looks like for it considering that it has not been produced for a while.

That is why a builder like Tom is awesome. If there are any issues he will more than likely get you working again. The other thing to consider is the price that the rifles are, that you are going to be dealing with people that know the value of the rifle. This typically means that they will take care of the rifles or they are able to afford to get them fixed correctly as well.

I was having a look around on the AAA website and I don’t even see the 452 listed as an option now. The 357, when I ordered mine back in 2021, showed as a build to order, and you had to wait 6-12 months.

With the new lineup coming out and the newer HPS models you may have a considerable wait if Tom will even take a pre order. Best option, I think, is to reach out and ask. Otherwise some WTB posts may be in order.

I agree with Woogie that any current owner knows the value of the Slayer and wouldn’t muck it up. And would likely have it repaired properly if issues arose.

i’ve had a one on order for quite some time, I spoke to Tom about a month ago and he reassured me that they are coming. Hopefully, he could chime in.

Hello all
Just joined, I have been around air guns for years mostly cheap springers, but this pcp platform stuff has sparked my passion again. This forum was highly recommended from AGN. I pre ordered the evol 15” 22 from AGA, many thanks to the other members who posted about the wait times, now I can relax and do more research on the platform. Thanks to all Joey
