So the Evol Hunter depicted in the video has changed from its original design, it was suppose to have an 18 in. shrouded barrel and apparently now is capable of up to 180 ft. pounds.

I'm not sure if anyone else caught this but is this pic AI or is the gun in the pic a new model not shown on the video? I see an AR15 bolt catch and AR15 safety lever.

Yes that is an artifact not on an existing rifle. We demoed 37 thumbnails and that comes with a lot of Photoshop, AI work, and a bit more. The video is the meat and the potatoes, the thumbnail is merely the open sign. Cheers

I’ve added the AAA HPS APEX .30 to my benchrest rifle short list. I refused to consider it, as I have concerns about the support available. The video kind of reinforces that concern, with the mention of a 3 man shop with only one having airgun knowledge. But, it does look like a very nice piece of design and workmanship. I do hate colorful guns though 😀. I also can’t help thinking that for the same $5k I could buy an FX Panthera and a Red Panda or Skout EVO. But, it’s staying on three list lol.

Three machinists working in the shop, yes, but don't forget that the Evol is serviced by Airguns of Arizona and fully backed by them. Additionally, they have a team for product R&D and testing that is comprised of top shooters, like Claudio who has now won Extreme Benchrest 2x. The availability of support - parts and man power - is there. But yes, you can buy mass produced rifles, especially with Chinese parts, at a far lower price. But Tom is focused on, ultimately, making the best all American brand (with the exception of the gauge vendor as specified in the video). I had a long talk with Tom outside of filming, and what I noticed was that he is focused on quality above all - a topic that we didn't veer from. And it shows in competitive results. If you are interested in more content regarding the Evol line and its performance, you may like this video (the final installment of the three part series):

Thanks for the reply. I didn’t realize there were others involved, good to know. It definitely looks like a great rifle. I do wish the Apex was available from AOA, but I don’t see a similar Benchrest version on their site. To clarify: I’m not comparing the quality/value of the AAA, I was just stating that in my case being able to buy two options for same amount is a monetary-budget consideration for me. The comparison that I would like to hear more about is the Blackwolf Chassis vs EVOL APEX. For what appears to be offered, the APEX seems fairly priced in comparison. I believe I’ve watched the series. Thanks again.

I would contact Darren at AoA - he knows more about the availability of what is on hand there. The AAA being built are being sold as fast as they are made. And I completely understand on budget considerations, I've got three little kiddos so that is always part of my metric on purchases for myself.

Kind regards, Tristan

Great video @AtlasAirguns ... I could watch that for hours, lol.
I reseal hyd cylinders at work and they often run those Teflon backup seals as well, interesting.
@Billm I'd be bumping an AAA .30 bench model to the top of that list for sure! A long, powerful, tube gun is money for bench.
Now im wondering about that grease too🧐😅
I already have the grease in my Amazon basket $40 usd for 2oz. Looking to see if available anywhere else.lol
