Has anyone gotten more than 3 yrs on a compressor without it failing? My omega air charger just started making weird noise and im not sure what to do next. To me it sounds like the motor possible in which case ill probably buy new.

Check your fan, bearings ,clean it Isolate where the noise is coming from. It's like working on a car

I got my GX E-L2 in March '22. Still going. 30+ hours. Resealed the piston this summer.

Tried a water cooled Vevor. It lasted 3 hours. Poorly designed junk!

looks super nice. I blew through 3 junk compressors, back in the day. first 1 was an air venturi NOMAD. It took for ever & A day. It was loud & proud !!!! Congradulations. It's dreadful when a Copressor goes. Panic mode sets in .

My omega seems to be well built sealed bearings-on crankshaft but bottom of con rod is blue and i really don't think they heat treated the rod

As a L1 Master tech ,owning my own Gas Station / Automotive repair / & MA State Inspection . I've seen it all. Things are not built to last. P.M is key to longevity. I am a 1 man show. MY LOVELY WIFE IS THE BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve only had two compressors. Both GX, the first one lasted just outside of the warranty. But in all fairness, I was abusing it.

I finaly broke down & sprung for & Alkin, vertical 220volt. I new it was going to pay for itself in do time .I fill 2 tanks without a hickup. I also knew I was going to do this Hobby / sport for a long time coming. I purchased the compressor from EDIN himself, with auto/shut off like he suggested for safety. IT came on a pallet dropped shipped, completely wrapped. BIG BOY GIFT to myself!!!!!!

After a few failures of compressors, it's the worst feeling, of not being able to shoot ones rig. Panic mode sets in . LOL. That's how addicting I T is!!!! For myself I thought I was flushing money away. Now I plug in my Alkin& fill my tanks like once a month, & I am good to go. I have to Buds in 2 different states they both have Alkins. When I told them I had a Air venturi , their response was ,YOU don't have an ALKIN, You have to get one. I then looked into them , & I said to myself (GOOD LORD ) this thing is expensive. So I saved & saved & saved some more . Bang I got myself & ALKIN. I never looked back. It is truly amazing. I still have the original box, it came with. So after cool down I cover it up like the Lambo it is. I purchased it straight from Alkin, from EDIN himself. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Back in the day, I didn't have all the options like todays world LOL. Might be showing some age, but then again Wisdom comes into play. Been their done that!

If my ALKIN for some unforeseen reason disappeared tomorrow I would be ordering another one : )

After being a proud owner of , such a well built unit, all PCP AIRIFLES should be built like this remarkable compressor. Seeing is believing. Using it , is like know other!

I don't know, I have been thinking about replacing my YH for a long time, but it doesn't quit and fills really fast. I said to myself that I'll get something else that's quieter, when the YH quits next time but I think now it's going to outlast me. The unit was bought in 2018 and I had to replace a failed cylinder head in Oct '21, and it has never had a proplem since then. The compressor that I had planned to get was the Omega Air Charger because SouthernGunner used to use one and he filled mega bottles with his for years, with status updates every year on its progress. I still might get one yet.

I purchased my Daystate (coltri) in 2017, only thing I have done is oil changes and a v-belt. It’s been good so far, I would buy another.
