Although I’m a tech by trade, during my off hours my wife and I are full-time caregivers. We look after our autistic son, our other child, and help care for my elderly mother-in-law who also has an adult special needs dependent.

I’ve mentioned pieces of this in previous posts, but it’s all part of the bigger picture: in our world, there’s no time for repairs—things either work or they’re gone. My wife leases a new car every three years because downtime just isn’t an option.

That same mindset is why I’ve been reducing and simplifying. When I open the “man closet” (no garage here), I want to feel peace—not anxiety. That’s also why most of my airguns and gear are gone. I can’t afford potential headaches anymore. Everything I keep has to serve a purpose and do so reliably. No drama, no fiddling, no wasted energy.

Makes perfect sense Mike. You have more than enough on your plate. Who needs more. Life is tough enough without inviting more grief

Lol, looks near identical to mine, other than location of the oil/water separator. Mine is 2 year old version. You should like that one.

I think many of us loose track of not realizing service means shipping its not a shop down the road and many dont enjoy the tinkering or service thats often needed with air guns as so many of us do.
I like tinkering but I hate being down for me that means I need a minimum of two guns and relistalcy two or more of my fave. : )

“Cool, just got this sent back from some warranty work” after a while I realized SWMBO couldn’t differentiate between the guns so as long as only one or two are being moved you’re fine.

I just couldn't pass up the deal. DIANA 24D for less than $100. I have the 24J and I have been wanting one to compare. This one looks to be in decent shape. May do a writeup about it. We shall see. I love these mid-powered springers. If accurate, they are so much fun to shoot.

I’ve had HWs and a TX before I can’t stand the recoil on them plus cocking them kinda gets tiring unless it’s an R7 or HW30.

nope I am keep my compressor and tanks LOL
the only way I would hand pump a gun is in an emergency setting and to be truthful I dont see i.
I shoot for the fun of it and I am not going to worry about seals and leaks its all repairable and if something isn't I will replace it its the cost of doing what I want.
I would like a hand pump and someday I might get one mostly cause? I guess in the wood I could hand pump up my EVOL MINI but really I will just carry a small tank. that I fill with my comp.

I did this years ago with firearms. I had guns that were too pretty to shoot. I worried so much I kept them locked up. Then with my target 22s, i worried so much about breathing, heartbeat and so on that, while I was good at it, sucked all the fun out of it. Sold all the expensive guns and serious target guns. Went back to plinking. Put the fun back into shooting.

I love nice guns dont get me wrong, but every single one i own has been clunked, dropped, or flopped onto/into something regardless of how careful I am it seems. The goal of airgunning is to lower the stress not increase it. I can still remember the sound of my TX200.... hitting concrete....
