I feel the same way about break barrel airguns. I like to hit a quarter size target consistently at 60 yards and I can shoot each shot in less than 3 seconds without pulling the scope off the target. This makes a followup shot so quick to finish the clean kill goal. I have the advantage of being a lefty shooter so I can cock the pcp without taking my finger off the trigger area. Relax Hateful; I know you are a determined breakbarrel only airgun shooter.

It very much depends on the gun and fill pressure! My S510 is 288cc/250bar and a breeze to hand pump, giving 55 shots in .22 @ all settings. I refill it in 12 minutes with 2 mins being a rest for the pump/me. I would never get a compressor period if that was it...but, of course I dove in face first without checking for rocks at the bottom Now my Ghost likes it's hpa esp with the high reg pressure and chunky 480cc bottle. Next year a compressor is in the cards hopefully! It's no stress when the AA runs out but the haunts me....literally. If you go at in 1 go from off reg its a solid hour of pumping (with multiple breaks for pump to cool) Bc of that, I don't shoot it as much as I'd like and would rather top off instead of fill from empty.

Ya, but springer aith 3 gus cost to shoot a pellet

Buy a gun and a tin of pellets. Heck mine don't even need added scope cost as well ..

I think it depends on you you want from your gun.
I want more a LOT more then what a spring gun is giving. I have one have had a few they are not for everyone.

Hateful, you get more mileage with your anti pcp/compressor posts than everybody else on this forum. Just in case you run out of responses try this. Imagine how your electric bill is affected by all that compressor use! You're welcome. Regards and carry on.

I still have one spring gun and personal I want to have a nice group at 50 75 or 100 yards
show me a group at a 75 yards with you springer MOA would be what 3/4" so me five shots?
do it at 50 yards?
nothing wrong with a springer I shot a decent number of tree rats with mine missed a bunch but it was okay but its not a PCP and its not in the same class in IMHO

this is not intended to be disrepectfull in anyway a lot of folks enjoy and love springers but I am just pointing out you wouldnt use a .22 lr if a cannon was needed? a springer doesnt do what I need or want from a air gun nor does my beloved pump guns they just dont.

I may be wrong, but I think he wants to see a picture of the springer in question. You may also want to photo it with your evol and today’s news paper .

If I do go pcp it would be .22. It's just convenient and oddly now cheaper then like .177 . .22 gives lots of options in lead to toy with I think for me it's best ..

I'm not really going to say never , but it's going to take a heck of a deal I can't refuse to get me to bite.... And if these compressor prices keep sliding maybe ...

Well, for what it's worth, I had the same thoughts and ideas about the pcp's as you. I loved my springers, break barrels, and Benjamin Franklin's. Then at Christmas, wife gives me what can only be a rifle box. So I'm doin the snoopy happy dance in my mind, thinking another powder burner. Tear off the wrapping paper, and boom, my first PCP. She keeps up with such things, do I had to at least show an effort, and just like that, hooked! I have shot my Ben Franklin 1 time since.

It's a shame ain't it! My Ben was by far my favorite.had it forever, even sent it last year to be resealed. Still wouldn't take anything for it. It was my first real pellet gun as a kid. But she sits, along with the others, in my safe. My Pcp collection is all I fool with now.
