Sonoran BRK Sonoran 30

I was watched Tony shoot in both 75-yard rounds and to say the weather was crazy is an understatement, the first day was very windy and then watching him go through the Dowty washer blow out and then head out to get another gun then shoot Laurens gun and still keep his composure was interesting to watch, but Tony settled down and just started shooting albeit quickly!!
Second morning the scores were really solid with the pros putting up some amazing scores, and if i remember there was a 248???

100yard like Tony said was windy and raining, but the Sonoran plowed through, and Tony shot very well!
Fun to watch he and his son in the finals!! Here is a picture of Viper getting ready to float way! 🙃
That is a great picture! That bench was so wet by the time was done….The gun rugs are finally dry and I can start putting stuff away tomorrow…

So I took it to an indoor range, that has a 100 yard range one week before the Oregon Match....At 100 yards, the 50's opened up, but staying in the EBR 8-9-10 rings.

Not bad, but I wanted to see what the AEA 45's would do at 100

Yeah that's 5 of those 30 cal pellets in the hole.....Yeah Baby!!!!! Oh and here are the Chrono numbers using the 45's

Incredible! Thanks for posting.

Look who made it out to the range yesterday  It's been a long time since Viper and I have been shooting. This damn rifle even after sitting for an extended period does not disappoint at all!!!!!

Oregon is coming up and Viper will be filling the EFT role for sure. The wife "Stole" Tigger my 30 cal Ghost because the winds last year in Oregon pushed her 22's all over the place.

The wife and I were at the range yesterday shooting off of bucket and sticks.....She would take 1 shot at a target and then it was my turn. Whoever got closes to the center won. Then it was my turn to go first. We did this for 7 shots and ties were called also on the targets.

Well you guessed it, Barb won :mad:but by only 1 point!!!!!

Now the crap shoot on the weather in Oregon....We have had rain, snow, and winds that switched back and forth so fast you just scratched your head....

Looking forward to shooting in my first 100 yard competition in Oregon. See you next week. By the way I am bringing the Sonoran as well. But will probably shoot the Ghost

Glad to hear everyone is enjoying shooting their air rifles. I have a BRK Ghost, .22, and it is not a good accurate air rifle. The dealer replaced the barrel & said it was good to go but it wasn’t. The accuracy improved, but not as good as my Air Arms SX .22. I don’t have a place to shoot 100 yards on a regular basis, so at 100 yards everything might change. The weather here in Northern Nevada isn’t cooperating. It was 20 degrees below the normal temperature for that day of the year.
We might not be able to enjoy our sport much longer. Both New York and Illinois are close to passing bans on air guns labeling them imitation firearms. Even already owned air guns are included. I don’t know if the 2d Amendment applies to air guns, but Illinois & New York obviously do not think so. I warned about this about two years ago here on the Hard Air Forum, but no action resulted. The anti-gunners have focused on air guns and they have tremendous power to take away air rifles, and they will do it. AD2

Have you tried polishing the barrel on your ghost? I’ve had good luck polishing the barrels on my ghosts and they all shoot well in every caliber after polishing.

No, I have not polished the bbl. Good idea though. Thank you for the tip. AD2
If you’re new to the idea use jb bore bright you can get from amazon. Push a pellet through the barrel feeling for tight or rough spots and work those areas a bit more. Ive polished areas several times as it doesn’t remove much material. Good luck!

And I will 4th it lol. My .22 Ghost as delivered was a lazer. Then a few (short) months in, it all went to $h!t 😮‍💨
A good cleaning only helped for a few groups and poor accuracy would quickly follow again, after 2 polishes its about 98% back to its original self. And no it still cant keep up to my AA S510 inside 50Y but it will outshine it past 60Y everytime.
