What'cha doing air gun related today?

Sold a RAW BM500X .30. Took all of 15 minutes before it was snapped up. Was undermarket priced with a very nice Hawke scope. But I have zero need (or skill) for a high quality benchrest rifle. So it was best it is going to an actual competition shooter that will use it.

Was another in my gunbroker.com ridiculous bid wins. I had the Hawke scope from a previous gunbroker ridiculous bid win and married the pair.

Working on my pair of HM1000X rifles .25 and .357 that I will probably sell next. The .357 is interesting, no serial number. Emailed Martin Rutterford about it and it turns out to be one of the proto-type .357 he built in 2014-15. Only issue is the stock has a crack that was repaired. Both guns have Huma regulators. I just don't need a .357 and that monster shroud/moderator on the .25 is just annoying.

The .357 needed a custom adapter for a moderator. M30x1 threads on the end cap. Only an AEA adapter appears to be available with M30x1. It is 1/2-20 so not .357 friendly. So I printed one and bought an STO Big Bore Falx. M30x1 male and M18x1.0 female. Then I use a metal m18x1 double male to connect the adapter and gun. Printing the M18x1 male threaded portion of the adapter is problematic. Tighten the moderator too much and it just shears off. Also the walls reduce the diameter of the hole through the adapter.

So the Falx bug bore works great and the adapter is solid. Gun sure does make a WHACK when the pellet hits my targets.

Pulled the regulator out of my impact and rebuilt it hopping to stop the slight leak out of the vent hole. NO Joy!!!🤬🤬 I'm thinking I must still have a hair or something causing air to get past the Oring in the regulator bore. Either that or I scratched the Oring groove when I replaced it.
I have made the move to plastic picks. I don't even trust the brass ones any more. Of course sometimes I need to use a smaler diameter brass pick, but before I do, I take a break and calm myself down so that I don't do something stupid in a moment of frustration. Forgetting to do 'that' is really frustrating, lol!

I used a brass and plastic pick at first but couldn't get the rock hard Oring out. I finally tried a hooked dental pick and it came right out. I've checked in the reg bore with a bore scope and didn't see any scratches in the Oring groove but that doesn't mean there isn't any. I'm leaning towards there being a stubborn hair in there. I have 7 dogs so there's no lack of hair.

I use one of these out in my shop, but I was thinking about buying another one for my workbench. I have dogs too, and had that issue with hair getting caught in the O-rings.
