What'cha doing air gun related today?

It's a rainy Sunday here in Georgia. I spent some time sitting on the back porch plinking sweetgum balls with this little air sipper sending 7.5s around 650 fps. A 750 count tin of Gamo Tomahawks will tire your fingers out before you run out of air.

I recorded my shots for the can. I'm still getting a high first shot. It's very consistent after that if I want approx. 20 sec between shots, but thats not fun when shooting a can, so I let them fly. It's good to collect these to see if the reg settles in

Without the first shot

Extreme Spread (ES): 16.23 fps

Standard Deviation (SD): 3.50 fps

29 shots and I split the can at 30 yards. It’s a windy day so I put a little play sand at the bottom of the can. I took the photo after shot 28. I walked back and finished it off with shot 29.
Benji single die 10.5’s going 900 fps.
Pellets weren't ricocheting back on you from that block!? I took a .177 ricochet to the stomach when I was teen, being dumb.... I set up targets in front of foundation of an old barn slated to be torn down. 495fps @ muzzle, 15-20ish yards to target and 180deg turn back and it still left quit a welt!😬 I still need to try this challenge, snow is melting here nicely.

Just curious, why doesn't your spreadsheet use GA for pellets b.c.? Is G7 used for pellets now? I'm running an old Strelok Pro version on my phone and just use G1 for slugs and GA for pellets.

my shooting angle is about 2 degrees down. Mostly everything is pulverized, this is below the target. I found one piece still embedded in the block.

Too windy here to really shoot. Except my grandson wanted to shoot his Daisy 880 and so we did. I am so pleasantly surprised at how much fun it is and how well it does for the price. Then he wanted a moderator on it. So, I accommodated him and that destroyed the accuracy. I couldn’t help thinking that it might be nice to CNC machine a wooden stock and forearm for it. It seems crazy, he can shoot any if my airguns, but he wants to shoot his own 880. We are going back out looking for squirrels tomorrow.

Just something about shooting your own that adds to the magic. Wood furniture would be a nice addition.

That’s HIS rifle! Is he using iron sights?

He was "supposed" to move up to a red dot, then a scope. You're spoiling him.
I don’t have one that will fit the rail. He’s been using my scopes for the past year. Shooting with iron sights was so ingrained in me that for almost thirty years I shot my ARs with iron sights. I can’t wait to hear from my daughter. He asked me yesterday: “can I shoot the squirrels at my house”. I said , sure it’s legal, just make sure you know what’s behind it and don’t shoot towards any houses. 😁🐿️

I removed the barrel from my .25 sentry and removed the moderator. I then reinstalled the barrel and will test it when ever the wind dies down. I'm suspecting clipping for the terable accuracy. I should just bore the moderator out to.500. I don't really have to worry about noise. The main reason I want it on the rifle is looks. It looks goofy without it.
