Alright, in my .20 escapades with the Veteran and more recently the Ghost, I've had multiple people comment that they wish there were more .20 options available.

I've got no I affiliation with them just sharing the news for those who have expressed interest in a .20 cal.

My first and really, only association with the .20 cal came in the mid 60's to early 70's. That , of course, came due to two friends who had Sheridans.....one a hand me down silver streak, the other a new blue streak. The only ammo available for them at that time was a cylindrical pellet with a driving band and a round to semi pointed tip. There were no diabolo pellets around at that time as far as I know. I was amazed when I witnessed my friend Phil firing a shot at a piece of scrap 2X4 and have the pellet go through and stick out the back side. I never imagined I'd ever see an air rifle capable of doing that. The .20 cal seemed to me to be the perfect compromise between the .177 and the .22.....always been a bit surprised that it hasn't turned out that way.

I always called it the 243 of the airgun calibers. A somewhat similar story here, hunted with my friends sheridan and decided I had to have one due to the power and quality of the rifle. His was an older model and I'd like to have it right now in the condition it was in back then. Back before my pcps, it was the rifle I judged any others by.

I was gifted a Sheridan Blue Streak a few months ago. My neighbor was retiring and moving south. He said the gun sat in a closet for over 20 years. He was going to throw it away when he remembered me. I am apparently called the BB gun guy. Lol. I own no BB guns. I resurrected the old pumper and it shoots like a dream. As Dr. Beeman said the .20 is a perfect size. I shoot this gun a lot. Wish there were more pellets to choose from. I have only found 4 and 2 are always out of stock. H&N FTT my go to pellets.

I have a Blue Streak, and a R10 . Used the Streak for many years growing up. I bought the R10 as soon as I saw it at my guy's shop. It took me a bit to get used to it at first- but then WOW.!! I have pretty much retired it after many years. The Streak was best with the Sheridan pellets, the R10 loved Beeman Kodiaks.

With all the old .20 pumpers that were made, seems the bulk of the .20 interest lies there. BUT, with modern PCPs the .20 is no slouch. Here's a report from shooting it last week at some rather high profile matches.

JSB 13.73 and 15.89 for me.

13.73s @ 805-810 are AAFTA field target magic.
15.89s @ 915-920 have a BC up in the 0.048 range and will hang right with the more often chosen bigger caliber long range pellet options.

I use the one and only JSBs . I have the H&N pellets but I haven’t tried them because the JSB works so well. My talon SS is producing 20fpe with these pellets. Maybe I can shoot a field target match:)
Yep, you're right at the legal power for an AAFTA match, 10-55 yards.

Now you have me thinking about it! I have not had the R10 out in years, except for a couple of shots here and there. I may get it out next weekend if I don't have service calls to run.
