To continue from a previous post, here’s more new airgun news from the 2025 Pyramyd Cup. In fact, I have to say that – from an airgun perspective – the Pyramyd Cup is almost as full of new product news as the annual SHOT Show!
Today we’ll cover JSB/Predator International, JTS, Saber Tactical and Macavity Arms…
All attendees at the Pyramyd Cup were given a card – that’s mine below – with 21 squares on it. Those 21 squares corresponded with the number of exhibitors. When you visited an exhibitor’s table and checked-out their products, they placed a sticker on their square on the card.
If you visited 15 or more tables, then Pyramyd gave you 20 free raffle tickets for the post-banquet draw on the Saturday night. Free is good, right!
That’s right up there with HAM Airgun Points as an outstanding “get something free for doing what you love” opportunity
New Airgun News From The 2025 Pyramyd Cup – JSB And Predator International
As everyone knows, Predator International is the US distributor for JSB airgun ammo. In our photograph below, we see company owner Jay Cogswell on the right.
On the left is Pavel Kobalek – JSB’s “main man”. It’s a sign of the importance of the Pyramyd Cup that he had traveled over from Europe just to be present. Plus – somehow – we were “gatecrashed” by Ton Jones for this photograph!
Predator was giving away free JSB T-shirts, for everyone who wanted one. Jay and Pavel are modelling them, as we can see above.
They were also giving away free pellets! Specifically these were samples of the new JSB Exact Premium .30 Caliber, 44.75 Grain ammo. HAM will be looking at these in greater detail soon…
New Airgun News From The 2025 Pyramyd Cup – JTS Airguns
Another vendor with new product to show was JTS. Below, Martin Skeen showed me a completely-new PCP air rifle from the company. It’s the JTS AirStryke and the price/performance ratio is promising to be very attractive!
Again, we’ll be hearing more about this regulated, suppressed PCP soon in Hard Air Magazine.
Below we see a close-up of the breech area. The AirStryke will be available in .22 and .25 calibers.
JTS was also showing a chassis version of the Airacuda. The chassis is available in a number of bright colors, including this eye-catching bright green.
Of course, JTS were showing their airgun pellet range, including the new “Consumer Test Packs” which offer four different pellets in one caliber for easy, good-value testing.
New Airgun News From The 2025 Pyramyd Cup – Saber Tactical
Over at Saber Tactical, Sales Manager PJ up-dated me on the Karma EQ semiautomatic/sidelever PCP air rifle.
PJ says that the EQ is selling very well, it’s certainly an unique model in the market right now.
Chris from Saber tactical also showed me the SLS model. Sure these are not entirely new, but it was the first chance I had had to shoot one.
I enjoyed the SLS but – as you can see from the photograph below – I need a cheek riser on that stock to bring the butt down into my shoulder pocket!
New Airgun News From The 2025 Pyramyd Cup – Macavity Arms
Here was another “first time” opportunity for me as I shot this laminate-wood stock Macavity MA2.
There was also a synthetic-stock version of the MA2 set-up on a tripod for shooting.
But perhaps most interesting was the opportunity to see a Macavity MA8 in pieces and being worked-on by company founder and CEO, Frederick Lee.
The MA8 combines a bullpup configuration with an electronic trigger.
Below we see the adjustable hammer spring assembly for the MA8. (It was removed especially for me to see the design).
In fact, Frederick was converting the gun into a first-ever .35 cal version. That takes confidence to do such a thing in public, for sure!
With the caliber change made, Frederick re-assembled the gun, added a scope and started shooting. It worked perfectly and – as you can see from the photograph below – was immediately throwing .35 caliber slugs downrange at over 1,000 FPS.
(The gun was connected directly to a large-capacity HPA tank for this test, as you can also see below).
New Airgun News From The 2025 Pyramyd Cup – Summary
I was interested and heartened to see the dedication exhibited by all the manufacturers attending the 2025 Pyramyd Cup. But particularly those who had come all the way from Europe.
As mentioned above, Pavel from JSB had traveled from the Czech Republic. Plus, Zan from Zan Projectiles had flown over from Slovenia. And RTI people were there too.
RTI is also based in Slovenia and Rok (the owner) was in Ohio for the event. Rok also shot very well in the 100 Yard Benchrest competition and took home a good cash prize as a reward for his shooting!
Last – but certainly not least – Jõrg Siemens had traveled from Germany to represent Haendler & Natermann Sport GmbH – the company we all call “H&N”.
Thanks to all those – plus the other US-based manufacturers who took the time and effort to be part of the 2025 Pyramyd Cup. I hope to see them all again next year!
