The 2025 Pyramyd Cup Benchrest Competition remains a highlight of this event. Shooting targets at 100 Yards makes maximum demands from competitors, airguns, scopes, pellets and shooters!
Join me as we take a look down the firing line to get a feel for the event…
First off, we need to say that there’s no less than 48 targets. This is a BIG competition, with the event being shot in two stages.
Four groups of shooters took part in two separate cards over two days, Thursday and Friday. Then there was the two-card final shot consecutively on Saturday morning by the high scorers.
Each target has 25 bulls, with one shot being made on each bull. There’s sight-in bulls as well, across the foot of the target – as you can see from our heading photograph above.
There’s a lot of top shooters competing with a wide range of top-quality equipment. Above Donny Du – Donny FL – looks pleased with his score. Of course he was shooting a Karma Red Panda, no surprise there!
High Pressure Pneumatics always makes a strong showing at the Pyramyd Cup and this year was no exception, as we can see above.
Ton Jones was happy with his performance, shooting a RAW. But – hey – he always looks like that!
Below, Lauren Parsons was shooting with a BRK Ghost as part of the Airguns of Arizona team. She’s deep in thought as we see below…
Below, TJ from Saber tactical was putting-up a strong performance, also using a Red Panda, as we see below.
Luke Sowinski, the Technical Director of Skout Airguns (below) is always up there in the rankings, too.
Below, “Russ Bear” – Nicolai Boldov – is another top competitor. As we can see, he was among the many competitors fielding a Red Panda in this event.
Below, Mathias Vangilbergen from FX Sweden was shooting with – surprise! – an FX…
Chris Turek looks pensive below. But he had shot a personal best at 100 Yards. He was smiling soon after!
After the shooting stops, it’s time to go downrange and look at the results…
But what were the scores at the 2025 Pyramyd Cup Benchrest Competition? We’ll find out tonight at the banquet when all will be revealed…
