Around 700 participants from over 55 nations competed in the 2026 H&N Cup. This is the first major shooting event of the season for 10 Meter airgun competition.
It’s also a major sponsorship by H&N Sport. As one of the world’s top manufacturers of airgun pellets and slugs, the company sponsors this major airgun shooting competition every year. Thanks H&N!
For many competitors, the annual H&N Cup is the first “stress test” in the new Olympic shooting sport year. It’s the initial major event for the 2026 ISSF season and is run as always – by the Bayerischer Sportschützenbund e.V. (Bavarian Shooting Federation).
This 10-Meter Olympic air rifle and air pistol shooting took place in Munich, Germany, between January 21th and 25th, 2026. The venue was the purpose-built shooting range from the 1972 Olympics.
Olympic-level 10 Meter shooting competitors attended from countries around the world, including Albania, Argentina, India and Japan. As the host, Bavaria also qualifies for it’s own separate state team – even though it’s part of Germany, of course!
Sadly, only 3 US shooters were present. That’s less than the teams from Liechtenstein (population 40,000) and Curaçao (population 160,000) :-(
Both air rifle and air pistol shooters fired two complete qualifications with 60 shots each and a subsequent final.
So every competitor had at least two chances of a place on the podium – or even three if they were part of a mixed air rifle team.
There are women’s and men’s competitions. Also mixed team competitions plus juniors.
The level of competition was – as expected – world class throughout. Norway topped the medal rankings with 5 gold medals, followed by the Germany and Serbia with 4 each.
Below we see the women’s air pistol winners. First was Zorana Arunović from Serbia. Second place was taken by Agate Rasmane of Latvia. Mariami Marshava from Georgia placed third.
Below. The Men’s air pistol winner was Damir Mikec – again from Serbia. Second was Paul Fröhlich shooting for his Bavarian home team. Third was Robin Walter for Germany.
The Junior Women’s winner was Sara Tomaello of Italy, with Arna Mirejovska from the Czech Republic in second place. Inés Ortega took third place for Spain.

Congratulations to all the participants in the 2026 H&N Cup. And – again – thanks to H&H Sport for sponsoring the event!
