Like me, many US residents have never purchased a product from abroad. So you may wonder: “what is happening to my order with Wolfiek?” After all, it’s being shipped from Spain and there’s trans-oceanic shipping and customs issues involved…
As a reminder, Wolfiek Group ships to the USA door-to-door with FedEx and UPS under a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) model. It’s a fixed fee per sales price, with duties settled at checkout. This is an operation built around the American airgun shooter.
So I thought it would be good to share my own experience. It’s impressive and certainly made me happy about making purchases from the company. In fact, this really is a follow-up story to the one we ran recently about ordering from Wolfiek. So you might like to go back to that one first…
My order with Wolfiek was actually for some accessory items that HAM will be reviewing in the near future. But everything you see here illustrates the company’s standard processes in action.
The result was a nicely-packaged result with a welcoming card from the guy who actually packed it. Thanks Agus, you did a great job!
My Order With Wolfiek – Email Communications And Timeline
After placing my order, I immediately received a confirmation email that clearly outlined expectations for delivery times. Full disclosure and transparency here!
So I was aware that it could take up to 10 business days for my order to be assembled. But – after that – I should receive it with 2 – 5 days shipping time.
As you can see, my order was placed on Friday 2 October. It shipped six business days later, on Friday 9 October.
Just an hour later, I received shipping confirmation from UPS – the courier selected by Wolfiek to deliver my order. As you can see, the UPS email contained some stuff about possible additional charges based on recent tariff policy changes, but there was no problem – due to Wolfiek Group’s DDP system!
The next email confirmed that my package had cleared US customs and gave a clear delivery time. Actually next day!
This was confirmed by another email from Wolfiek. Obviously the computer systems work very well together.
Then – just like that – my order was delivered…
My Order With Wolfiek – Packaging
So here’s the package that was delivered to me. It was wrapped with two layers of black plastic and secured with packaging tape to an almost hermetically-sealed level!
Removing this outer layer revealed a substantial, thick-walled card box with additional card and peanuts for protection. No rattling!!!
Each item was individually-wrapped in its own sealed plastic bag.
Then I turned over the plastic bag containing a selection of Wolfiek stickers and found Agus’ message. Very good!
I was happy with my order from Wolfiek and am sure you will be, too…
