Ghost What don’t you like about the 👻?

You poor wimpy guys! Lol i shoot a hp ghost with an athlon helos and shade + a hand stop off hand in ft! And im old and have a bad back, hips, knees and shoulders!
yea I am not sure it reads as a real heavy gun the decks say the Ghost .22 HP comes in at 7.5lbs that within a few oz of my EVOL .30 like 3 oz I think? and only a smidge more then my EVOL .22 cal sortie the 15" barrel as in 1lbs 3 oz. no I won't toss the MINI in as it's much smaller gunmy wife's Brocock Concept Lite XR in .22 comes in at 6.5lbs 1 lbs less.

so when I hear ( in other thread not just hear ) the gun is heavy I really feel like I must be missing something?
plus its a bill pup so you would think it would carry even better?

I going with Solo1 grab a hand full pull em up and that these beauties of into the wilderness take some game feed the family and the dog.

BRK Ghost is one of the very best rifles on the market. Faults in it? The only criticism I can levy against it is that the trigger is slightly heavier than I would like. It’s fairly easy to work on and lighten up.

I think now is the best time to buy a Ghost. Tons of options to customize it, built like a tank, and easy to work on. Truly a great gun.

The Ghost works good out of the box and obviously can have a wide breath of tuning potential. The best thing about a gun like a Ghost is that you can tune around any ammo. In .22 going from 18.13s on 100bar reg to shooting 25.39s at 140~ bar can’t be easier. Want a 30? Swap that barrel out and crank it up to 170 bar and you are good to go.

One thing I like about the platform is that the frame is made of a single piece of aluminum. This monocoque frame design really prohibits the amount of POI shift you will see in other bullpups by other manufacturers. Other nice features include the CNC aluminum mags which are the best in the business, sliding rail, and now more barrel options from both LW and Sub-MOA. I can’t actually think of a company that offers as many barrel options as the Ghost, and real barrels at that.

Happy shooting

I would agree, especially the first paragraph. As supplied it needs adjustment. The directions aren't particularly helpful. Sub 12 air gunners did a wonderful video that sorts it all out quite easily. Makes the ghost a joy to shoot.

🤔😂It's expensive, limited ammo choices in .22 for a stock unit, ie too much power for light (18gr and down) ammo, and fails (badly) with slugs. Trigger could be lighter but not as bad as I expected. Hard to mount low rings therefore scope to bore height is jacked. Makes me sad when it runs out of air and I can't shoot it anymore? 😥
Also this. The rail can be removed and replaced with a different dovetail mount or off of the existing dovetail. You have more scope to bore range than nearly most airguns on the market.

As for slugs, now with LW and Sub-MOA slug options, the gun has those barrel options if you are wanting to shoot slugs. Additionally the 28’’ 1:17:7 barrel has had promising slug performance with Altaros and other slugs if you are wanting a hybrid.

Just my 2 cents

My only complaint is, the rifle is loud at ear level. Has a noticeable loud snap, pretty much regardless of caliber or power level. I actually wear an ear plug in the right ear. Have done a lot to try and improve this issue. Changed pellet probes, breech seals, barrels, power settings and more, but after 20,000 rounds in total, shot through .177, .22 and .30, I’ve given up trying to fix it.

That blows my mind.....mine is super quiet for the power that it lays down. On minimum setting shooting mrds @880fps you barely hear it, just a little puff (all stock, no moderator) Are you shooting indoors by chance? I needed ear muffs for my S510 indoors....it's crazzzy loud.

You are correct of course but the Ghost (to date) does not ship with a good barrel for slugs yet except the .177 which is not a slow twist. Dumping another 1k on a slug barrel is not my idea of fixing that problem, id prefer a slug version of it being sold. The avaliable scope heights is of course huge but you cannot remove the rail and get a low or med mount on and still be able to get any kind of useable cheek weld/sight picture combo. Ditching that rail is not an option for me, 1: i paid for that!! 2 it looks amazing, and 3 I LOVE the built in MOA, one reason i bought the 👻. You are generally forced to go with either: tall mounts with no rail, or med mounts on the rail. I am hoping to get low mounts eventually to try (on the rail) but that will only net me a few mm less, and low mounts in stock are rare here. I like my scopes just about kissing the action and only 1.5-2 inches above barrel center. My 👻 scope with med mounts is 3inches up!😔

Actually my Ghost shipped with a 28” - .22 2B barrel (1:17.7) that shot slugs phenomenally well. I have other dedicated slug shooters and didn’t want another, so I moved that barrel and acquired a 28” - .22 6B (1:30) for pellet only shooting.

Apologies, you are correct....I should clarify. I meant the standard HP version. The world record does ship with that barrel and the slow twist 28" as an option. The 1:17 is not standard on the regular Ghost HP .22 variant.

My only complaint with my Ghost (177 and 22 HP) is the first several shots after the rifle having not been shot for an ~hour or more...is that it takes several shots to get the velocity to stabilize...the longer it sat the more shots it seems...I have it set up for ~875 ft/s with the 177 Barracuda Match pellets and it will start around 830-840 ft/s and then shot per shot increase then be relatively stable...that said...40 yards with those pellets straight out of the tin and any non bullseye is pretty much my fault
