Bolt Action What amo for the Bush Pig

I'm told the barrel was manufactured with specs between a 22-24":1' twist rate and between .452-.454" bore diameter, the same the Western Rattler 45. So you are not chasing slug accuracy based on twist and bore size, you should verify your actual barrel's specs by measuring the twist rate with.a cleaning rod and slug the barrel with a. .457" slug shoved through there to masure it for size when it pops out the other end (and report your results back here for other's).

With that twist rate it will like a long, heavy slug similar to a 350 grain, 1.125" long slug. Any slug lighter than 300 grains and similarly short will likely have a large long range group size because of instability issues.

Pyramid Air selection

Contact AOA and speak with Kip, I believe the have 350gr Hi Arc's that are sized down that work very well.
You are correct the smaller diameter worked best. Western Airguns and their various reviewer testers did report best accuracy success with the High Arc Hunter spire pointed slugs around that grain weight.
