Blackwolf The Daystate Blackwolf platform has arrived

Look again… you are comparing it to the already massive price increase to the Laminate…
That's what I said, the Laminate. You can't really compare the TAC to the Carbon Grey. Assuming that they took cosmetically flawed stocks, and painted them gray so as to not have to throw them out, that would allow them to offer the rifles at a "reduced" price. And, if you'll concede that it would also cost more to produce the tool free, highly adjustable buttstock on the TAC that would account for some difference. Also, when you consider that the full length rail allowing for multiple attachment points for lord knows what costs significantly more as evidenced by the many aftermarket vendors that sell them for at least a couple of hundred bucks, that has to account for some cost difference. After considering all of that, you come to the barrel. The Carbon gray is the only rifle in the line up that does not come with the tensioned barrel. It is an option on that rifle. To be honest, I have not done much research into these high tech barrels, but it wouldn't be hard to imagine that they are at least $500. Yes, I compared the TAC to the Laminate (as stated in my previous post) because that rifle was most closely equipped to the TAC. I compared 17" barrel rifles with cylinders because that's what I was interested in so my numbers may be a bit different.

The tensioned barrel isn’t $500 more. It is a $100 selling price accessory (tube with caps). I’m definitley not going to assume that the base model are defective stocks when even they are at the top end of air rifle prices. And to claim that a tactical rifle must be expensive, when so many manufacturers come out with tactical at a base price? They are charging like the stock is made my MDT or MPA or something and it is just OEM.

I don’t want to detract from this conversation anymore in their thread about what if’s. We will just need to agree to disagree. It is worth it to you and not to me. I don’t want to discourage or convince anyone of my opinion. It is my opinion for m only. Just stated that adding a $1000 to the price for a chassis on an already expensive rifle put it out of my range. To each their own. You do you buddy. I loved the Daystates I had and wanted another, but not at these prices for standard functionality in air rifles today.

I agree that detraction is not good. I'm not saying that their stocks are in fact, this, or that. I only mentioned it because it is industrial practice to mitigate loss. I also agree that value interpretation can be a personal thing, my only point is that you cannot compare two dissimilar things and expect to have comparable value. I also agree to each their own. I feel that Daystate has done their best to offer something for everyone within reason.

~$2200 - $4000 depending on chassis, barrel, etc... they are on AOA website now.
Interesting, one has to wonder with Tariffs on the horizon what 25% added will do to quell peoples appetite for the new Wolf? Daystate/BRK’s history is quite lagging on delivery ( months if not years) on many of the new introductions so pricing will no doubt change from what is stated at present.

I'm all for the reciprocal tariffs. Let them fly. Maybe they're already buffering for them? Maybe they aren't?

Alcohol stings the wound as it sterilizes.

A prediction: in about 1 year time we will see the Alpha Wolf and the Black Wolf get it on and have a baby to upgrade the Red Wolf. The name will be Grey Wolf. Solenoid action will replace the hammer/spring setup. Alpha Wolf electronics and battery will all be nestled into the stock.
One thing is for sure, it will be interesting to see where it goes from here. I'm already curious about what the "limited edition" will be like. Maybe a jet black, high gloss stock, with all the metal work blacked out, markings in a charcoal grey.

I’m sure we’ll see them in silver and bronze and blaze orange. A Heritage version and a Safari version. Hahahaha. Either way I like the upgrades the BlackWolf is seeing and look forward to these being incorporated with the red wolf.

Maybe just sit back and enjoy the 16 different setups possible, not counting the calibers, in this new platform from Daystate 👍😃🐺🎯

I know that I am looking very much forward to my Daystate BlackWolf TAC .177 HP with the VoluMax extended plenum and the 711 mm or 28” slug barrel 👍😃🎯🇬🇧🐺

Hopefully the wait won’t be too long 😃👍

That's the beauty of this platform. I went the opposite direction with my TAC chassis in .177 and ordered the 17" barrel. I just love the versatility of this system.

@Soren Drost you think they will offer a shorter barrel and tue set up in the futer or just stick the 17" as the shorter vertion?
just to long as much as I am loving what I see I cant do a gun that long : (

I would seriously doubt it as i believe 17” is the shortest barrel they have used in recent years.
yea I figure but if its not said they never know.
only resonly I havent ever got a huntsman is the 17" barrel just make the gun longer then I want after the moderator is added.
if I was going to the woods and not useing a moderator I might could live with it but to shoot around here I really need the moderator and it makes it longer the I like and impractical for he wife. I got her the BRK Concept and its just to long.

It got awful quiet around here. Must be everyone is sitting home waiting for theirs to arrive. 👍
Information overload. Not just with the Blackwolf but so many new airguns are coming out, I find myself trying to keep up. I'm also trying to figure out what purpose any of them would have that my current guns don't do already.
