Hi everyone , I was going to wait till the first barrel was done and tested but I could not wait to tell everyone , so this is what I am doing , I bought a lathe and had custom tooling made up it took a lot of work getting everything and making shure it was the correct size and the rite tooling for the job , I am making slug barrels for the delta wolf that will be a direct replacement for the 23 inch barrel , so you can keep everything , I am using a LW polly 17.7 no choke as a test barrel and its the one I am working on rite now , its almost done I am going slow and checking everything as I go to make shure its all the same as the original , when its done I will test it out at the range and give you an up date with pics once its tested and everything works with out any problems I will start making and selling them with 1/16 twist or 1/17.7 and polly or standard barrelIMG_8717.webpIMG_8715.webpIMG_8714.webpIMG_8711.webpIMG_8708.webp

Good luck ive had several barrels made by gun smiths for the ghost and m3 none were anything to write home about.

Hi everyone sorry I have not given an update , my father inlaw passed away and I had to put things on hold , I should be finnishing up the barrel this weekend and testing it out .
Just seeing this now, my condolences.
Hopefully these work out for you. That's quite a thick looking barrel in the picture.
So your taking .177cal 600mm, slug appropriate twist rate, non choked L.W. barrels and making them work for the Daystate platforms, nice! If its a success do you plan to work on the bigger cals too?

its a .22 LW polly with a 17.7 twist , I had to turn the OD down and shorten it a little , I will be making other calibers later on once I get some .22’s done , once I test shoot it and see how it shoots I will post it and start working on a .22 1/16 twist rate barrel and see how that one shoots also

just finnished the barrel ! everything works good and the crony is reading but now my reg is stuck and not letting air in so I will have to clean it and hope that it works , I will go down to the range sat morning and see how it groups.

it was leaking and would not let air in from the bottle , it has been a problem for last few years AOA had to fix it once when the gun was only a year old it would not stay at the bar I set it at and creep up aoa fixed it ,worked for a while then it started to wander up and down so I took it out cleaned and greased it worked good for a while then it started giving me these problems so I gave up and bought a new one , its under warranty but they would only rebuild it and I have to ship it to them plus down time so I gave up and paid for a new one and I will rebuild this one later and keep for a spair

Hi everyone just giving an update I am still waiting for my gun to be fixed at AOA should not be to much longer , I did order a 1/16 twist barrel to work on and it will have a carbon fiber wrap , it should be ready by the time I get my gun back so I will have the 2 barrels to try out and see how they shoot , and a third barrel is on back order till the first of the year so hopeful one of them or all will shoot slugs good .

I am back and with an update , sorry it took so long I had to put it on hold for a little while I got my gun back and shot the new barrel the LW polly no choke 1/17 twist the first shot at 22 yds I did not even see it hit the paper so I shot 2 more times I was using 20gn howler slugs I found all 3 holes it was about a 12 inch group 🤬 checked the cronny it was 735 fps so I made an ajustment and did 3 more shots and it was a tight clover almost one hole and fps was 915 👍 then I shot more groups and every group got bigger by the 5th it was about 3/4 the fps still same not shure what was going on so I went to other slugs and weights and size and fps but it only got worse so I am going to give it a good cleaning and try that , I did finnish the second barrel today and will bring it with me and test it , its a 8grove standerd .216 barrel no choke 1/16.35 twist , I am also working on the 1/16 twist liner that I will carbon fiber wrap I hope to have it done by tomorrow and get all 3 to the range by sunday .

I was able to go shooting for a few hours sunday and I first shot the 17.7 no chock LW polly barrel , I tried everything from 17.5 to 24.8 nsa in .217/.2175/.2165/.216 and the groups were not very good , not one would give a nice tight group at any speed , the other barrel a .216 with a 16.35 twist and 8 grove only liked .2175 and I only had 3 in that size and only one looked good it was a 23g at 920fps , I think it might shoot better with a .218 or .219 I will have to order a few and see.

I did also tried to carbon wrap a barrel but that was not so good so I will make a sleave out of aluminium soon and try that barrel , and I am going to order 2 CZ barrel blanks I found a place that has them alfa presision

its alot of money around 1000 dollars , and I want to have a direct replacement for the 23 inch so you can use your cronny and shroud for less than half the price and you can still keep the gun short and compact
