I like air rifles from Czechia. Or, Czech Republic if you prefer (this Cold War kid has a hard time not using Czechoslovakia!). Every one I've owned has been accurate, consistent, and reliable. A Taipan Veteran II is now my steady girl, but have or had several types across three brands. Would be remiss to not acknowledge Taipan's Ukrainian roots as well.
- Kalibrgun Cricket
- Kalibrgun Cricket Mini Carbine
- Kalibrgun Cricket Carbine (in .22 and .25)
- Kalibrgun Cricket II Tactical
- AGT Uragan II
- Taipan Veteran Long
- Taipan Veteran II Tactical 550

No experience with Epic, or any others that have escaped my notice. If you have one, tell me all about it!

Every one has had a great regulator- good ES & SD across the chronograph, zero problems with reg creep. Triggers have been excellent on all of them as well, with Taipan taking the cake. No premature leaking problems, no maddening POI shifts... no drama, period.

Have seen the fit & finish steadily improve with newer models. None of the rifles above were bad, but it's definitely gone to the next level with more recent models. The two most recent releases this shooter has owned (Cricket II Tac & Veteran II Tac) are outstanding. Took a look see inside the Vet II and was just stunned at how smooth & polished the internals are.

If I could give my $0.02 to the Czech manufacturers, would have two requests. #1- More options with traditional stocks. #2- Not specific to these brands; applies to all manufacturers of shooting gear: Please, please stop using the word "tactical" in your product names.

Lemme hear about your Czech air rifles. And as always, pics are mandatory

Nice collection! I still haven't bought a Czech gun and when moving up originally I had planned to get a Mini Cricket Carbine. Right now, if I were to buy a new air rifle, it would be an AirMaks Katran NL 520 in .25. I read in some thread yesterday, over at agn, that they were not going to be sold in the US anymore. Have you heard anything about this, and why don't you have an AirMaks Greg?

I now have 4 CZ guns , all AirMaks Katrans. Three .22's , a Standard ( got it today), a Long Bottle & a Long Bottle HP.
My .25 is a Long Bottle HP also. I like the simplicity of them. I don't get into the internals of my guns, been there done that, have the repair slips to show for it! I will turn screws a bit for triggers & some hammer adjustments for velocity, that's ALL I want to mess with. These Katrans fill the bill, triggers in oz's,solid builds, folding stocks that are solid w/ no shimming needed. I'd post pics , but I'm a failure at that.

This is my Tapan Veteran ll .25 I gave it the nickname the “Exorcist”
(yes, that is throwing shade the ghost platform, 😜😂)

It has a DNT the one scope and Accu-Tac SR 5 bipod.

Exactly 99% of its life so far has been punching paper and steel at 50+ yards with pellets. I’ve only tried a couple of slugs with it and I’m just not ready to take that dive yet.

I really enjoy shooting it, and should make an effort to do that more often and it greater distances.
