Multi-Pump Seneca Dragonfly MK2 On The Way

The Dragonfly magazine is a spoiler when using a scope. My Daisy 901 is almost impossible to load a pellet with a low scope mount. My Barra 1866 is almost impossible to load a pellet with iron sights. Compared to the Dragonfly, that is. I am already so spoiled I took the scope off the 901 to facilitate pellets.

Wow, I really really like shooting it. Adjusted the scope today with Crossman premier hollow points. After shooting about 50 pellets , I had to re-tighten the stock screws because the groups kept walking on me after snugging everything up it was Very consistent in it’s accuracy. Six pumps are good enough I don’t know what velocity is shooting I haven’t measured it, but it seems to be shooting pretty flat. Everything is nice and slick now after applying oil to the pivots and the piston.

Shooting indoors at 15' the Dragonfly is almost too powerful at 1 pump. I've been shooting my Daisy 901 with 1 pump. Excellent accuracy with both rifles, but the 901 wins the prize for low power performance.

I see the allure....I still like to pick up my 1979 ish 22 cal Crosman Model 1, 5 pumps, ~30 yards open sights, can hit the Twinning Tea tin 5 out of 5 times with the open "iron" sights...and its brass lined barrel......last time I was at the eye doctor, I got "shooting glasses" so that I can see the target and the sights in focus at the same time again......getting old sucks...

,y said i could not have any new glass when the doc was getting ready to rite my prescription, he ask her why, said he wont wear what he has so until he starts wearing them no more.
the doc just put the prescription pad down and said ill see you next year

Anybody having poi shift? I’m going to keep testing but seems like the barrel shifts just by pumping. Could be I was shooting off sticks vs out the window at home
Man, I have poi shift everytime I shoot anything..😜

Maybe someone posted a new gun check list to like said above , like comon loose screws to look at or whatever.. could be just new bedding in or break in teething pains. Maybe give the barrel another good soaking in solvent and scrubbing..

I did snug up the screws more and cleaned the barrel. I had oiled the piston so maybe the barrel got oil in it

I feel it could do that on my stuff as well . Any excess lube got to blow out somewhere ..lol. Also when new I clean the barrel well go shoot some and clean again a few times that factory mess can be tough to get out
