Just wondering if anyone had one of the Smith and Wesson CO2 pistol's from the late 70's.

I had one that if you dropped it, it would fire, i believe even with the safety on. I had never had a CO2 gun that did not leak horribly. This one was pretty good.
One day I had made some darts out of butt splices for wire. I accidentally dropped the gun and it went off. Shot me in the fore arm. Took the doctor some doing to get it out. Later on I found out there was a lawsuit pertaining to discharge. It was pretty powerful, that dart was in me about 1/2 way from coming out the other side. Even though that was 45 years ago, that incident was put on my medical history as "Gun Shot" LOL. Went to get an insurance policy once and they asked about it.

I don't remember the model number, but it kinda of looked like a Crosman 2240. If you have one of these, be careful with it.

Todd, glad you were okay! Could have hit an artery and been a different outcome. Thanks for the reminder to respect air guns for what they are, a potential lethal weapon no matter the power.
