Pumpkin carve

Why was it bad? I was thinking it would help keep the lines more defined.

I don't think I will use a .25 next time. I think a .22 might minimize the damage but require more ammo.

John
I was thinking the same thing. My thought process was that it would enable me to use a more distinct design with some sharp angles. It would still be difficult, as I'd still have to color between the lines LOL. One pellet on or outside the score line would probably make it look pretty bad.

That's easy. Don't miss! LOL!

I hear what you are saying. Better to go more organic.

I don’t know Bill I wouldn’t want something like this being counted against me.

It’s not my fault that my pesting instincts took over 😅.

Carving a pumpkin with a Marauder Gen 3 was a blast. I cut the top off and pulled all the seeds out.

I attempted to shoot a Marauder "M" but it blew the center out. You can see the leg going to the left.

My son (9) wanted me to try a face. So we put a face on and started sitting again. I took some artistic liberties as I went.

The shooting was done like field target with my sticks and a seat at 30 yards. I was shooting 25g JSBs at 870fps.

John
Hey man how many pellets did you guys use to carve the face? 100 or more? I wish i could give that gen 3 a try! Great post brother.

so, I have know we have had some bum weather and it has held up some entries.
after a chat with the boss we agree on the topic so, I am going to leave this competition open for another week provided those who have entered already have no objections?
by doing this you guys have to get those entries in even if its in the rain : )

I only used 40ish to carve the face and 48 in my attempt to carve the "M" logo. I put another 8 into a log at 40ish yards just to finish off the magazine. I took 96 shots in all.

The Gen 3 was perfect off sticks. I am very excited about how well it did and am looking forward to testing a .177 version at 19FPE for Field Target.

I have no objections, I’d like everyone who wants to participate to have a chance 🎃👍.

Very nice John. It's a lot harder to carve a face than it looks!
