Yeah, I had a free day so it wasn’t the best weatherwise, but I wanted to make it happen.


No, no hand pump lol. GX makes a great compressor, I certainly attest to that.

A proper backstop, always .

I nearly ran over one of these in the flesh or scales last week and I had a thought, just didn’t know if I could pull it off.

When I started setting up, it was windy then it started to rain. No stopping, I pushed all the way through.

I filled the Sniper about six, seven or more times roughly 700 pellets I kept shooting all the way down to 70 bar. I did have to stop to clean the barrel. The accuracy diminished at the worst possible time when I was trying to shoot the iris and I decided that one was going have to be a crazy eye. Most things down here are at least half crazy anyway .

I shot this from my Florida Room where I could keep dry.

Yeah, I get overly cautious when when shooting for detail so then I would have to check POI shift. I did that probably 50 or more times, make a shot check make a shot. A bad one, especially on the very small pumpkins, that is game over.

I filled the Sniper twice for each of the small pumpkins.

Thanks @pan60 it was worth the effort and I definitely enjoyed blasting those pumpkins.

I sure hope that there’s some good competition this year. I can’t wait to see what @wolfmangreg comes up with

I'd love to join the pumpkin carve but my range is closed as we build an indoor heated 10 yard pistol/air gun range, The ground/base is compacted. Next the cinder blocks.

I was just thinkin, If I used a Tangerine instead of a Pumpkin I could make a Nice Face with about 7 or 8 Pellets!

I agree with the comments of get something to practice on. It takes more pellets than you think. The “shell” cracks and changes what you think it will look like. I cleaned mine out first last year as well. If you make a shape, be careful to remember than enclosing a full shape means that the middle of the shape will fall out!!!!

Have three, ready to rock. The boss is going to try it too, should be fun. I’m not sure she realizes how hard it is going to be. I’m guessing we’ll probably destroy them first try. The bears have been back every night. I hope they’re not attracted to pumpkin lol.
