Wolverine New to me .177 Wolverine

Crono data 30 shots ea.

The regulator is set at 155. After about 60 shots the fps starts dropping very slowly 1,2 per shot steadily.

I did turn the hammer up, but the most it would do is 902 fps with the 8.44 with a lot of air. I turned it back down.

Actually, this will be the first time I will be able to tune an Airgun correctly. My other crono did not work very well and I became frustrated so all my tuning experience has been by listening, when it sounded like it was releasing too much air I would back off the hammer.

Guidance or suggestions would be welcome and appreciated.

Right or wrong I’ve decided to take this approach, since the H&N Barracuda 8 seem to do so very well with my Wolverine I am going to tune for them.

I read the HAM review on these pellets and will utilize the ballistic information contained in the article.

I am going to turn the power adjuster down to try and get to roughly 872 +\- FPS, if that doesn’t work, I will turn the regulator down to 150 bar and try to adjust the hammer again.

More leaking, bottle gauge. I could hear a popping sound coming from it (not to mention the 25 bar pressure loss). Went ahead and replaced the regulator gauge O-ring too.

No popping sound anymore, hopefully no leaks either.

Went and adjusted the regulator 😂.

I should have ordered an O-ring kit with the rifle 😒. From now on if one looks remotely suspect it’s getting tossed.

The small piece of O-ring was stuck in the passage to the plenum, completely disassembled and used a patch worm cord to push it out.

reg down 1/4 turn CW now at 148 bar.

🤞 it holds pressure.

The shots were coming apart, so I turned the regulator up to 152. Things are looking good, my 50y group of 10 improved 👍.

More tuning and O-ring replacements, everything sounds tight. I do not hear any wasted air.
50 shots
ES 14 SD 2
15.2 muzzle energy

@Danman the light kit for the ProCrono is a must have 👍.

Very nice numbers! Now to get it good for the .177 competition ☺️
The kit is 120v to the wall right...so just need an extension cord? Last time I went to buy it, it was out of stock here...may have to go Pyramyd.

Correct on all points 👍. I purchased mine at PA too.
