Nate Chrony

I tried out my Nate Chrony today. Everything is made so easy even I can do it I have the adjustable adapter which I used to mount on my moderator (he recommends straight to the muzzle) but I have to be quiet in the van. I tried low , medium and high on the Atomic with excellent results. Like mentioned somewhere there’s no app. You access a website with a QR code. The unit has its own WiFi you log into. Simple simple. No complaints for the price and Nate is awesome. I wish him great success.

I bought one from Nate at PAC, he said he would make some modifications to the adjustable mount to work on a Skout moderator. Got my tracking number yesterday, cannot beat that for customer service. It does work great on my BRK Ghost!

In my Nate Chrony shopping cart were a Chrony V2 and an adapter, but the $21 to ship made me think again.
Over at Pyramyd the shipping is $20.
And because the items are not shipped by them, the $111 (+ tax) expense does not count toward free shipping on orders over $150
I now consider myself spoiled rotten.

Then this morning went to the Nate Chrony website and bought the V2 plus an adapter

The net cost to the buyer is about the same as Nate Chrony
But buying direct from Nate puts all the money (minus shipping) in his pocket as opposed to the collection of sales tax
IMO
It also begins a relationship with the buyer and Nate Chrony

I bought from Nate directly back in March and updated to the current v1 in late August with no import duty costs paid for either chrony shipment.

In this review he shows the first version of software and the current version of software so you can see the evolution of software over the last 6 months.

I am currently using an old laptop with the Linux operating system and Chrome web browser with my Nate Chrony. I prefer a small laptop because my old eyes and fingers have issues with a cell phone!

What's new are two things. One is the very low price. Two is that it is - so far as I know - the only Chrony where every unit is calibrated against a known standard "master" chronograph for accuracy.

And no “off” readings like on my FX. All my guns can’t be inconsistent
