My new Evol magazine won’t spin counter clockwise (the direction of the arrow). I even watched Jared’s video to make sure I wasn’t missing something.

It takes a tiny push down to start, but then doesn’t turn that direction much at all. See pic below. That is as far as it goes.

If I try to spin it clockwise, it goes all the way around to almost that same point (sort of looks like it does when you load one, but it is spun around the wrong direction. This really only loosens up the screw holding the cover on.

AOA tech guy wasn’t in to help.

Revised after opening it up to check the spring…
The mechanism was locked up so that is why it wouldn’t turn. I think the spring might have been bound up. Got it loose but the spring wasn’t working. Tried getting the spring in the holes for over an hour and one side just won’t stay in the hole to keep tension. I thought I had it at one point, but I test it it about 3-4 times and the spring broke loose from the hole inside again.

Looks like I’ll get with AOA and have them send me a new spring or magazine.

have you ever used it or like this from the start?
kinda sounds like somthing hung up in there.
if it was mine I would open it up.
Brand new. I was going to go ahead and open it, as I think it will probably be easy to figure out how the spring should work and which holes it probably goes it, but I thought I would ask first in case someone already knows what to look for. I’m guessing it didn’t get wound up on creation is all, but I haven’t had to deal with one of these either, so I’m guessing.

Opened it up. Silver piece inside wouldn’t spin at all. Locked up. Finally came loose. Now I have to figure out how get the spring in back in a hole and get tension on it so it will work.

If the spring would stay in the hole on the silver part in the middle, I think I could get it to work. Dang spring won’t stay in the hole!

Looks like one side of the spring that goes in the hole is shorter than the other side. That short side won’t stay on the hole. Flipped it over to try, and it won’t stay on that hole either. About the time I get one revolution on it to be able to load a pellet, it jumps out of the hole.

You're not the first to have problems with the magazines not indexing correctly. I fixed mine awhile back and it's pretty simple. You just have to know how the magazine works and how to set the proper tension for it. I actually have one brand new magazine that wouldn't turn at all and decided to fix it today and figured I might as well make a video about it.

This is actually my first video I've ever edited and uploaded to YouTube. I give credit to all you content creators out there because this stuff is not easy lol. Hope this video I made helps.

Thanks. I will check this out when I get back.

do you think the springs broke?
making one end shorter?
did you find anything in there jamming it up?
I guess that might could be it. I didn’t see a small tip of spring in there. I could try to push it through that hole from the opposite side and see if a piece comes out.

Has this been resolved? I had a message on Tuesday from AoA sales that there was a problem and the service department had resolved the issue.
Not yet. It just came in last night (Thursday) and I called AOA about 30 minutes before they closed. Shane wasn’t available. I haven’t received a call back today but have been out today, so he wouldn’t be able to help me today anyway.
