I decided to part ways with my Omega Air Charger. It was a solid compressor that served me well for three years without a hiccup. But these days, I don’t shoot as much, and for occasional top-offs on my 74 cu ft and 18 cu ft tanks, my Omega Trail Charger handles it just fine. I also have a GX EL3 battery-operated compressor for quick fills, and there’s a dive shop just 5 minutes away if I ever need a full tank.

The Air Charger was great—just a bit heavy and overkill for my current needs. I didn’t make much back on the sale, but that’s okay—it served its purpose, and the funds can go toward other gear or projects. My elbows will thank me soon.

And if the Trail Charger ever fails, it’s cheap and easy to ship it to Todd in Arizona for repairs. That peace of mind helped seal the deal.

I just can't compute getting rid of stuff that works well, unless you need the funds, or live in a van down by the river, and don't have the space. Of all the links in the chain of things that we need for this hobby the weakest usually has something to do with the air supply. I have a three rule for things that I really don't want to be without, but that's just me. You know your needs and situation better than anyone. Or you should, but you do have a history of re-buying the same thing you had already sold. LOL!

Kinda wild how much ($$$) stuff adds up. Over the last few weeks I went on a wild tear of getting rid of airgun crap that I haven't used in a long time, and wasn't planning too. Various barrels, scopes, bottles, etc. Typical paraphernalia. Generated over $1000!!! And it was stuff that I wasn't using, just sitting there collecting dust. It was sobering. And that wasn't even all of it, still got a couple active WTS ads up.

Made me rethink the whole, "maybe I'll need it at some point" mindset.

Yeah, I was getting close to that mindset until I "cleaned up" at work. I kick myself for getting rid of stuff that I have found out, I could really use, and had to buy again. If I'm not tripping over it, I'm keeping it.
