Info Favorite bipod

I have a utg recon 360 that the pan can’t connection has loosened up on and am looking for a new bipod. Right now im looking at the atlas bt65. Just wondering what everyone’s favorite is.

Accu-Tac SR5 GEN 2 is all I have, expensive but it hasn’t failed me.

I have the Accu-Tac FC4 G2 and the FC5 G2. Both are good bipods. The only thing that I have to compare them to is a $20 Chinese bipod that I purchased for my AR15s twenty years ago and never used until I stuck it on my Beeman last year. Obviously no comparison.

Because of their wide stance, they’re a little bulky if you’re looking for something the field. For bench shooting they’re great. I would like a pair of the skis for them. Everything could be lighter LOL.

I would reach out to UTG I have that and several other as well as a Accu-Tac I do think the Accu-Tac is a touch better but not enough that I would recommend it over the UTG?
but I havent had any issues with mine, and hope I dont.

also have you tried to take out the machine screw holding the lever pull the lever off cant it and replace it so that you have more adjustment to tighten it?

I didn’t try taking it out but i did try to tighten it and tried tightening the pivot bolt which would not move and I didn’t want to use any heat i think there is a plastic bushing in there.

use a heat gun and just warmed it up or a hair dyer that should warm it up enough without hurting the plastic
slo i have had good luck n the past with UTG I think you could get the deck on the phone? but I havent tried in years.
if it was me I would warm it up pull it and and re-clock that handle

That’s what I did to mine. That said it doesn’t compare to my Accu-Tac BR4 which doesn’t pan, but is rock solid.

I took the lever off and moved it on the nut it tightens better now. I also had already ordered the atlas and like the ease of adjustability of it.
