Roger Lait (Triple-G Roger Lait on YouTube) was good enough to do some filming about his experience with the KalibrGun Snipe 2. Roger received this stock gun three weeks ago and had roughly two weeks of practice with it. Not bad, eh?

If you want we can produce a few this month. I've put that on the back burner from number one to non existent lol.
It seems that podcasts are on the decline. My problem with them, and youtube, and broadcast tv, are the insufferable ads. That you can't ignore, and are always there again if you come back. I use to like to get monthly subscriptions in the mail. I'm really missing good'ol magazines. Nobody tracking how much I read any particular article, and it's always there to reference. I hope they make a comeback.

I have a lot of thoughts on it. Ads help get the channel some money to pay back on their investment. I have a 5k camera, and when I edit a single 6 minute film it typically takes about 24 hours from start to end to produce, so it's awfully hard to say no to a few bucks to pay towards the deficit that is around $700 production cost. That said, get a good ad blocker. Addition
nally, we release everything on Rumble which has no adds after initial two (usually) and X.com where there are no adds but you are subjective to my rants, haha. Also podcast are on RSS so depending on feed there are no advertisements on base file.

One time I had someone go off on me about making an advertisement for my own business. I guess retailers are not supposed to do that 🤗. I told them they could make their own video and never upload it if they wanted no advertisement. He never took me up on the suggestion but then again I've never seen him upload to YT so maybe he did? Haha

Sorry about the ads they are horrible. Cheers

Sorry about the adds the suck for sure. Cheers
I wasn't talking about your adds, or even targeted ads, I am talking about adds for everything else. I don't begrudge channel owners a living. I didn't like the idea at first, but the more I think about it, Patreon is the way to go. We are all going to have to start paying for content to keep out unwanted advertisers, big-data trackers, and the censorship police.

I dont mind some adds I figure thats the income and its need I dont care to see political adds and when they do pop up and they do its from the enemy whom ever that might be. LOL
as for the thought of your own business adds well I have no issue with that you are trying to make a living and I support that.
I just can do long videos
I will set down on a coffee break and if its to long I typically dont even hit play just move on.

Luckily I am not an influencer, but I think if you were wanting to make a career and stay honest about your reviews, that would be helpful indeed. People want raw talk about products. And you can see a lot of pushback on the channels that do low effort pump and dump content.

There are truly some incredible channels out there. Mountain Sport, Triple-G, and so many more. Beyond buying them a coffee just a nice complement fuels them more than anything. It's good to encourage the gems we have

Yeah people like different lengths. Some want 20min+, some like 15 second reels. But I'll leave that business to the YouTube influencers. I make videos my way.

Ps: I know my audience specifically likes 20+min. Proof is in the analytics especially with the 6-8+ average retention (longer than most people's full video). If it ever changes I would change my style. Ditto music and everything else. When I change my style views go down. One time I dumped two vids, both the same! Well, except that one had music and one did not (a criticism I get from time to time). The one with no music got no views. I deleted it. Then I got a comment from one guy that comments on every video that he hates music. Well, A) don't have to watch and B) mute button works awesome.

Okay rant done. You got me talking film!!! I can talk about this more than any subject haha

Nope-I like videos that are 10 minutes or so. I don't have the patience to listen to a 30 minute vid that can be condensed into half that time. The videos produced by the Brits drive me crazy.

Luckily for viewers with no patience on the bottom right on the YT thumbnail you can see how long a video is before clicking. Also, typically airgun videos are not soap operas so it is okay to miss any or all content.

As for me, I'll be going even LONGER in the future haha. Cheers

@AtlasAirguns , What barrel is on the Snipe 2 in the Triple-G video? It looks like it’s fluted. I don’t see that barrel on the ones on Atlas Airguns website. Nor do I see that bottom rail? It’s pretty disappointing seeing a gun in a video that seems to be a one-off unobtanium model? Oh well, such is life of team shooters and teasing the rest of us Joe Average shooters.

I usually put one AirPod in and listen while i do chores or shoot in the yard. Sometimes I just enjoy the sound of nature. If neighbors are making noise, I put both headphones in haha

That is the UK model with a different shroud. It has the exact same barrel. I prefer the US shroud actually.

As for bottom arca rail: the gun has one built in already mid rifle (under pic rail), first off. Second, there are aftermarket extended arca rails that you can adopt if specifically a long arca rail is what you want. Third, I have encouraged KalibrGun to open a direct sales site for support items like this, so maybe they will consider it.

As for unobtainium comment the only thing that isn't stateside is an arca rail ....if that is making it or breaking it then maybe they should include it and up the price $250 because that is likely the cost. Most rifles do not have built in extended arca rails from the factory specifically ro keep prices down for consumers.

As for team shooter comment? Outside of the arca rail everything else was standard, the rifle being picked at random, and he had it for two weeks of shooting before the competition. I always find it interesting that people come up with mythologies about how team shooters get special things. That is, frankly, almost always incorrect except for the most accomplished shooters (.001%) who spend thousands and thousands of dollars and hours to try (usually fail) to win.

I hope that explaination helps and thanks for the feedback.

Kind regards, Tristan @ Atlas Airguns

Thanks for the detailed reply Tristan. I think I read somewhere that the Snipe 2 uses a balanced valve. Can you give some explanation of what exactly that is? It also says there is no hammer adjustment. Is this similar to the pneumatic hammer that the RTI Mora uses?
