Broke my pellet trap target

Good as new and back in operation :ROFLMAO:

5/16" steel plate backing and almost 3" of duct seal. Hopefully it won't go through again 🤞

This is what it looked like when it failed. The pellets dug a well to the wall of the trap and poke a hole. Will have to check it from time to time and plug the well hole with more duct seal.

@coolsound That's very nice looking. What I find helpful is to affix my targets in different places on the cardboard facing. I look at where the bullseyes will be sitting in relation to previous groups that I shot into the cardboard beneath previous targets. This gets me a little more wear out of the cardboard facing and easesthe overall stress on the trap making it less likely to shoot through the trap. When it get close to that point the sound of pellet impacts change when I'm stacking them. I do this with cloth-stuffed cardboard box traps that I take over 1000 .25 shots. I also shoot into both side of these traps. When one side is shot up, I flip it around, but the flipping the trap around isn't relevant to your application.
