Showing in the snow from the warmth of my house

A rather rare occurence in the Midlands of SC is snow more than 1" deep and that only happens every 2 or 3 years. This year was different when a nor easter developed off the coast a little south of where they usually develop. I spent most of yesterday crawling around underneath the house hanging lights on vulnerable pipes. An almost 80 year old back is not meant to crawl around under the house and this morning it let me know it.I have shot skeet and Trap in the snow but never air guns. It was 25 degrees outside so that wasn't an option so, I took this opportunity to shoot out of the window of my wife's bathroom that overlooks the range. I have posted a photo of this window in previous post. Today I shot what is probably my favorite airgun. my HW30 in .177 caliber. The targets are 30,40, and 50yrs. It was fun.

I predict you will love the HW30. It will not group as tight as the PCPs and doesn't have their power but, it will hit targets out to 50yds. If you expand the photo you can see 7 prescription bottles attached to a 3 ft rod at 40 yds, it eats those bottles up. If you look at the 50 yd target you can see a 1/2 gal milk jug. It will hit that that jug as often as I let it. Sometimes I miss and being loyal to to a fault it does not say a word. That being said I would not shoot an animal at 50 yds.

I imagine that it will be fun. I had an R7 for years that I gave to a new shooter a while back. My new ones will be in .177 and .20 cal. I appreciate the challenge of a spring piston gun.
