Question for the Alkin guys: How easy is maintenance and how often do you have to do it? Because all of you sure make it sound great compared to the struggles I have had with others.

@GHairgunner An oil and filter media change is done annually or after a certain number of hours run time (whichever comes first). The specifics are stated in the Alkin owner’s manual. I’ve changed both for the first time this year. The manual had a misprint stating that you need a 17mm wrench and I found that you need 17mm 19mm wrenches (or even better a thin-walled 19mm socket and 19mm crescent wrench) to drain the oil and fill it. I bought my first filter media replacement kit and bottle of compressor oil from Alkin when I purchased the compressor. The owners manual outlines the maintenance schedule YouTube and online forums like HAM and AGN are good resources for specific maintenance questions, photos, and thread where people ask questions or walk you through the maintenance process they undertook. It's pretty easy. Don't have the manual handy, but believe it recommends oil change at 100 hours, intake filter and 3rd stage tower filter media change at 50 hours.
Even though I shoot a lot, it'll take 4-5 years to reach those numbers, so I'm defaulting to annually.
Not much moisture left for the 3rd stage filter tower (1st/2nd stage coalescing towers do a great job catching & expelling)- it's mostly there to collect odors etc. (for "breathing quality" air). Could probably let that one go to the full 50 hours or more.
Alkin has YT videos of oil & filter media changes, & some other maintenance jobs. Drive belt tension appears easy to adjust, though I haven't had to do so. I routinely check bolts for tightness, mostly out of paranoia . Couple of the back side cover bolts were loose after the first few runs; tightened & they've stayed tight since. None of the others have ever been loose.
