Ghost Accuracy of the Ghost HP .25 vs Hp .22

I’ve read that the accuracy of the Ghost HP .25 is subpar vs the .22. I’ve also read reports of the excellent accuracy of the .25. Can anyone shed some light on this from experience? I’m trying to narrow down which air rifle to purchase next. It’s hard making a relatively big purchase and having to rely on online posts/reviews..

I have both. I think my 25 is more consistent @100 with aea 33.9 even though ive shot in the high 220’s low 230’s with jsb. The 22 is good with 25.4 but to me 25.4 isn’t as good as the 25 cal. It’s a barrel lottery and sometimes a simple polish makes a big difference. Luck of the draw and how far you want to shoot. @50 ive shot 1 hole groups with both.

Don’t think you can go wrong really the ghost is not a complicated gun and both of mine have been very dependable. You can always add an extra barrel too if you really want its a lot cheaper than another gun. Setup is simple too.

Agreed with @Solo1... My .22 Ghost is a year old now. The honeymoon stage was AWESOME. Zero @50Y and thanks to the 20moa rail i only needed a few clicks to center my Helix 6x24. Big ragged holes ensued and it had power to spare slinging 25.39 @975fps (H.W.15) I dumped a pigeon at 98Yoff my deck railing without a clue as to what my hold should be....I was sold! Enter barrel fouling. It was a freaking nightmare and the gun was becoming useless. I put a rock solid Accutac and a much better grip, built a decent shooting bench...no improvement. Cleaning barrel helped for 1 day then crud accuracy again. After polishing the barrel and lubing my Mrds it has improved a ton. Solid, easy to work on platform. If your after 100Y I'd go .25 as well or hold out for a slug barrel and shoot .22 slugs. Mrds will NEVER give you a perfect 10shot group @ distance.

I ordered a used .25 from AOA. I’m a little worried about buying used, sight unseen. But, I figure it gives me a little room to buy another barrel etc.. I really don’t have a particular desired range, I just want to have fun. I’m spoiled by so many places providing free 2 day shipping, the expected delayed shipping by AOA is already bugging me. I appreciate everyone’s input.

No worries buying used from AOA. Their descriptions are accurate, they fill the gun and set it aside to check for leaks. Run a range test, and provide you with the report. It's all good. All you need is patience. They do the rest.
