...I tried several on my TalonP made from heavy duty composite materials, they all failed...I had several spectacular departures from the end of my TalonP...
I can't say that this surprises me too much. I was showing my disbelieving nephew how loud a TalonP really is without it's moderator (which I hadn't even checked yet) and got my ears rung W - A - Y more than I thought that I would! No wonder my tinnitus is as it is. I don't think too many of us would be shooting +10,000 times annually in our backyards without good moderation, or would even want to.

I’ve had a 3d printed adapter/air stripper on my Beeman underlever for almost 1.5 years with no issues. I tried several on my TalonP made from heavy duty composite materials, they all failed. I broke down and purchased a DonnyFL adapter and it was the right choice. I removed a 3d printed one from my Alpha the other day and went back to the stock moderator. I do a lot of 3d printing, some things should not be printed. You risk catastrophic failure and at the very least baffle strikes. I had several spectacular departures from the end of my TalonP. I use 3d printed moderators all the time. I keep four printers busy.
I use the COTS adapters whenever possible. But there are orphan guns like the RAW BM500X with oddball attachment and there isn't any other option than printing or fabricating.
.30 caliber
5/8-18 male threaded end on air stripper in CF shroud.
1/2-20 ends up with walls too thin at .30 when printing. Far too fragile.
So end thread is M14x1.25 or M18x1.0.
I have a 2 STO Falx and a Sarissa that have interchangeable end caps so I just ordered the M18 end cap (already have 1) and printed 5/8-18 female thick enough to fit snug in the shroud and will screw in far enough for the moderator to act as retainer on shroud.

Now that I have a printed adapter that fits I can have one of my specialty machine shop vendors fab me a couple on their CNC.

They are loud no doubt. I don't have one on my TalonP, and after 10-12 shots, I put it away for one of my more tame moderated rifles.

Came home to surprise package! Pinty had reached out end of December and asked if I was interested in testing out a Vanguard in 177. I had agreed, but nothing until last week after shot show when I was told it would be on its way asap. Well, today it arrived and to my (pleasant) surprise it is actually the 22 cal version. 20260204_141947.webp

I order a maple SST for my Krait.
