I’m starting this thread because I simply do not understand the platform in all of its iterations. I’ve seen the Wolverine, Wolverine 2, Wolverine B, Wolverine C, Wolverine R, Wolverine Hi-Lite .303, Wolverine Saphire, etc. I honestly do not know the differences between all of these iterations or what sets this rifle apart from other mechanical Daystate and BRK/Brocock sporter/semi-bullpup styles rifles. I’m talking about as far as mechanical advantage or performance are concerned.
The differences I have noticed:
1) There appears to have been a .30 Wolverine before other models had this caliber.
2) Utilize the slingshot hammer system. Was it the first Daystate gun to do so?
3) R version uses side-lever as opposed to a bolt on the rear of the breech block on older models, but many other brands have levers at this point.
The power produced doesn’t seem to set it apart from similar styles rifles (I don’t know much about the .30 version). Other than what I have listed, what is the allure of this platform above others?
This review was ok, but tells much of nothing about mechanical elements or advantages of the rifle. I will watch other reviews as I have time. After reading threads about the Wolverine, I don’t understand the appeal to attract Wolverine users and keep them loyal to the platform. What am I missing?
AOA posted some good info in the description here Daystate Wolverine 2 303 Hi Lite Air Rifle
but I’ve read posts about the power levels claimed are not met or not easily met by consumers. Read what a notable airgun tuner/smith says about it in this thread (see post #4) Daystate Wolverine R HP (Full Review)
