Anyone seeing discrepancies between the tank gauge pressure and the reg gauge? The reg sits at 1750 psi. Where I see the discrepancy is when I shoot down the pressure in the tank. When the tank pressure reaches 2000 the reg pressure drops to 1500. I haven’t tried going lower but I’m guessing at the reg setting it’s at it doesn’t like low pressures or the gauges don’t match. 🤷‍♂️. It’s stacking them pellet on pellet but just curious. I’ll call AOA tomorrow and see

Another thing to contemplate is that the regulator may be changing the low side pressure slightly at a certain point based on the drop on pressure on the high side. But like Bladebum said, if it is not effecting accuracy then it shouldn't be an issue and don't go chasing it. Plus, that lower pressure change probably gets you a better shot count.

Many small-diameter pressure gauges - such as those used on airguns - are not desperately accurate or consistent, although many do indicate pressure remarkably well.

To my knowledge, Umarex is the only company to address this issue publicly . They do it in some user guides. In multiple booklets they give an accuracy expectation for pressure gauges of + or - 10%.

That's a possible variation of 800 psi at an actual 4,000 psi fill pressure. Think about it!!!

I give Umarex a lot of credit for facing this issue openly. Other companies may have different specifications for their gauges, of course.

I'd say stress about it and get a pair of seckmet digital gauges...just kidding! Although I did watch Sub12s videos on them gauges and they can figure out your air usage and shot count to!!😳 I will say my Ghost reg gauge will stay put until tank pressure drop below 165bar. When I hand pump and refill, reg gauge goes back up to 165 and stops. New for me also, I'd keep an eye on it and maybe run the chrono through a complete tank of air on her but not worry to much yet.👍

These gauges are not accurate at all. They are basically giving you a "close" measurement of the pressure. Figuring that they are tiny gauges they are unable to get to the accuracy that we truly want. If you are able to get a digital gauge you can get better, but even those you are still limited by the precision of the sensor. There are many things that can cause the reading to be off.

That is why all of these gauges have a tolerances and they are typically quite large.
