Haven't shot the Ghost in two weeks. Probably the longest I've gone without shooting it in 14 months. I've just been busy with other airgun projects and work and life.

But did get curious while I was in the gunroom today....."wonder if the reg pressure has changed at all?"

Nope, right at 128 bar, just like it was the last time I shot it, and for months prior to that.

Shot the Ghost last night after dinner/before dark. Didn't even put out paper, just shot my semi-permanent steel, although it was freshly painted.

Chose to use the JSB .20/15.89.

There was enough wind that the shrubbery past the targets were waving back and forth pretty good. For further context, the squash and pumpkin plants in the garden I was shooting over the top of were also waving around. They're at about 25 yards. I'd guess that sustained winds were around 15mph with gusts up around 18-20.

I was just shooting for fun and wasn't going to post anything here, but then was texting a buddy and decided to share. So the photos were taken after dark when I'd changed my mind and hiked back there to get some photos to share.

Here are the paddles at about 94-95 yards. The bigger ones weren't much of a challenge so I mostly shot at the little guy, thumbnail in photo for reference. Best streak on that middle paddle was 7 in a row.

And here's a five shot group at old bushhog blade hanging at 125yards.

And finally, three groups of various shot counts at 135 yards. Groups were just hunting for clean spots on the steel so there's a group above the top hole, another group in the middle of the holes, and then one below the bottom hole.

Hold offs for the wind on the 135 yard shots were between 0.6 and 1.2 mils.

Fun stuff, meant to be just a chill session so nothing very scientific. But man o man I love these JSB. 20 Heavies!!! So predictable and no what-the-hecks?!?!

Quite the shock when this one was born. Wife and I both have dark brown hair, and his two older siblings have light brown hair. Standard joke is that the red hair came from the fertility doctor, to the point that he tells people that himself now. He gets called "Little Red" so much that I'm not sure if he knows "Cabe" is what's actually on his birth certificate.

Both sons enjoy airgunning. Cabe and I went and shot pdogs earlier today before we picked up his older bro from school, and then Colben and I got after em in a different location this evening.

Not the Ghost but Colben was using a sub20fpe gun this evening, out of necessity for the location. His two furthest kills were 83 and 95 yards, and that's from shooting sticks!!!

Both of them surprise me pretty often with their shooting.

But yes, keeping all three of us equipped and pellets in-stock is a bit of a challenge. But it's a fun problem to have.

Oldest has black hair, middle has blonde, and the third....he is a ginger! I wanted to have one more just to see what color hair he/she would have...

As this has always been a general info source for Ghosts, thought I'd share this from Philip H. (Deadeye).

He vinyl wrapped his wife's Ghost. I checked out Amazon and every color under the sun can be had. For most colors looks like 1ftx5ft for around $10. I assume that's more than enough to wrap the mono block like Philip and his wife did.

Pretty cheap way to get any color Ghost that you want. YouTube videos for how-to apply vinyl wrap. Looks sharp on her gun. Longevity? Dunno, but if it comes off in a year? it was only $10 to begin with.

Just thought it cool and wanted to share. (Thanks to Deadeye for the neat idea!)

I like the custom colors, even the silver.

Funny that, while I like the splash of color, when I went through all the potential options, none really jumped out at me as one that I'd want to change my Ghost to. There was a black that I considered more than any other color. I think an all black Ghost would look nice. Made me remember when Tim McMurray asked me what color I wanted my USFT, "black," was my response. He asked, and what else? I said "black on black on black," lol. I guess I just lean towards Henry Ford, "the customer can have any color they want, so long as it's black."

Not to say that I won't try out a vinyl wrap for the Ghost mono block, but it just might be to make it all glossy black!

Im kinda surprised she went for the ghost. When we talked about it i thought she decided the length of pull was too long but think its cool she got it, except now she’s probably going to be more dangerous! Lol. I shot with her both days at pa cup and she beat me!!!!!

The odd thing I thought anyways, was the fx impact had a run of the shiny silver editions as well....hm. I absolutely love the stock colour choice. Black on black or even that brown/tan colour could work though 4 sure (that white one she has is snazzy)! I've seen the custom colours on alotta guns now (fx/epoch), just not a huge fan is all (2 blingy). But it is nice to pick yours out of a crowd I suppose. Where I live if I show up with a pcp I am one of the only and I get some head scratching

Here is Tigger.....I had to have it because of the orange color. AOA has a few of the all black special run 's, but I haven't seen one in person.

I received a grip for buster from https://formriflestocks.co.uk/....I was shooting it today and oh man I love this grip!!!! It fit my hand perfectly and was great off the bench. I shot Tigger today, above, and the grip on buster is much better....

Better watch it, Barbs gonna snag that red and black grip and throw it on the red anodized Ghost. Actually, id kinds like to see a photo of these grips on the red Ghost if it's convenient at some point.

The grip fit perfect!!!!! It comes with a longer grip screw and just went right on. I have "tuned" my triggers on all the ghosts at the house. A friend, Derrick, @zx10wall taught me when he was out here.

Shot this earlier today with the Ghost .20. Nearest weather station shows that winds were 3-5mph, mostly quartering in from about 11 o clock, but it was switching and going left at times too, per correlation between mirage and impact points.

Top left are the couple 20/18.9 (NSA slugs) sighters I shot prior to the groups. Top right and middle right are 25 shot groups with the slugs, 50 shots in a row. I was paying better attention to the mirage on the second 25 shot group with the slugs, the middle right one. That has 25 shots into 1.22moa, or 22 shots into 1.09 moa.

The bottom left is pellet sighters and bottom right is a 25 shot group with .20/15.89 pellets. I was curious about wind effect on them versus the slugs so just held dead center for all 25 shots. Wind was pushing the pellets pretty good, both to the left and to the right. The 25shot pellet group is probably 3.5inches across, with maybe 20 or so of them into about 1.75". The pellet group isn't anything amazing.

Pretty pleased with the slugs. 32fpe is relatively low power to be putting 25 consecutive shots into groups like that at 100 yards.

Barrel and bottle swap today on my .177 Ghost HP
Went to .30cal and 700cc
Numbers on the chronograph look pretty good. We’ll see what she does on paper tomorrow.

I’ve got a 22 hp barrel coming for the ghost and will be waiting for those new mrd’s to test and compare to the 25 cal. We’ll see who wins the shootout! Lol
