I shot Polymags in .30cal.
In comparison to .22cal pellets, these are monsters.
I have been looking for catastrophic hits on pest pigeons:
glory kills, with pest birds popping, volcano crater size exit wounds, or BPE hits (
body parts
flying
everywhere).
After failing to achieve such glory kills with the
.25cal Polymags at 1000fps (56FPE), even at close ranges (15y) — a very nice AGN buddy helped me to a .30cal barrel.
So I set out to try my luck again:
I dialed the .30cal Polymags up to 944fps, for 88FPE.
Surely, this huge piece of lead would do the trick and produce glory kills....
Yet again, both I and the MLS pellet failed, even at 15y ranges. (MLS = most likely to succeed)
So, maybe I need a .35cal Mora?

If you have been able to achieve glory kills on pigeons, DO let me know the specs, plz.
(I know that smaller pest birds like Starlings are glory-kill'able, but in Peru we don't have those black buggers.)
