What would make me completely ditch air power?

I love my airguns for how quiet they are. What would it take for me to ditch airguns completely? If suppressors were ever legalized in California, I’d be shooting a suppressed .22 LR instead. But that’s probably never going to happen—so for now, airguns are here to stay for me. Imagine a world with no leaks, no compressors, no frustrating customer service—just quiet, reliable shooting every time.

Just dreaming :)
I don't know if that it isn't a nightmare. I use to shoot cases of .22lr every year and they are the dirtiest round going. I have seen bolt guns that were never cleaned and still shot well, but not semiautomatics, which is where the fun was. The .22lr leads up, gunks up, a suppressor like no other round, check out some videos on that, yuck! When you shoot a lot and often you will want to be picking up that brass too, if you mow the area, or care about where you shoot at all. And then, of course, there is the power issue and knowing what's behind and beyond your target, and ricochets (living in the stonewall capitol of the world). Airguns to me are the dream. Still have both, can shoot either with no restrictions, haven't fired a firearm in years, don't want to.

Would you even know how to act if that happened? I wouldn't, and suppressors are legal here.

First of all, what's wrong with you?😂 ... jk.
Second of all ...if quiet .22LR is the dream why not shoot subsonics or even those pest control 710fps ones? My S510 (aka "the Kracken") is no quieter than a .22LR shooting subsonic rounds. No suppressors allowed here either. Honestly I think you need to master shooting an 18fpe .22 springer if simplicity is what your after. Zero compressors or tanks. Excellent power and accuracy under 40Y, and (worst case scenario), it will make you love your pcps more?😆

He had a beautiful TX that he sold. ( poor Doc cried the blues for about year after, not mentioning him directly, old wounds and all that 😂 ) Anyways no “boingers” for Mike lol.

My ground squirrel massacre sessions before Airguns were with a .22 LR. I only wished it was quieter. I’d lay waste to countless ground squirrels with my bolt action $79 .22. Although it would’ve been nice to have PCPs back then in the thick of it

Excellent points I hadn’t thought of

Just a dream for now but were all with you man!

He's had about everything and returned it...**LemonKing**
Yeah I mentioned springers as more of a jab.🤭 Love my TX but wouldn't want it with me if I was in a target rich ground squirrel smacking scenario.... I second the Evol .30!😍 But we really shouldn't 😔
I couldn’t agree with you more, springer wise too same - same.

Inland Manufacturing Db Foam is a 22 LR suppressor owner's friend!

Also, you can put down anything a firearm can without 3000 fps.
