What did you buy/receive today?

Today I had to drive the Wife to get a knee replacement. A 12-hour ordeal. lol But when I got Home My package was on the Porch! My $100 Gold mine I found. lol
I pray that your wife heals quickly and well. I had my right knee replaced over Thanksgiving week a year and a half ago. I spent just one night in the hospital and walked out the next AM. No problems. Watch for infection and excerise as directed. The worst thing one can do is lie around and say "I can't bacause it hurts". Believe me, it'll hurt much more if she's lax on the exercise. I'm not trying to a hard ass here, but I speak from experience. I had a total of FOUR total knee replacements on my left knee before my leg was amputated six inches above the knee. I was one of the unlucky ones; I suffered from MRSA that I got from improper sanitation in the hospital. I apologize for from drawing attention to myself here, but my intent is to say "be viligent". Infection can creep in with life altering consequenses. Sorry for the rant. I pray that your wife has a quick and complete healing. Take care of her, she'll need it for a week or so. Orv.

Got myself a new pew!

Exactly, the Dr and the Nurses reiterated that to Her over and over. I had Mine replaced about 2.5 years I think? And I made sure I went to my Therapy classes and made sure I worked it well.

I'd be really interested in reading the results of your tests. I haven't seen a report of someone actually doing similar testing, and adding one baffle at a time yet. That would be very informative. Come to think of it, suppressor testing has really been down lately since all the forums clamped down on what we can talk about. It seems that most don't even talk about what thet are allowed to talk about. It's hard to keep track, I guess.
The wind decided to give me a break today so I did a bit of testing. Rifle was a Red Wolf.177 HP set on low, jsb 10.3 was used.
Target #1 was a 0db 110c in the center for control, the others were 4-5 shot groups with the barrel weight only, as the standard for the rest of the test.
Target #2 was a full length Ryu, I had a great group going at the bottom until I made the same mistake twice.
Target#3 was the Ryu with 2 sections and seems like this may have had the most consistent, round groups. Oddly, nearly the same length as the 0db.
Target 4 was spoiled by outside influence, so I marked the offending group, and shot another in the center to replace it. The best group was at the bottom with 4 in the exact same hole, and the 5th slightly out of that.
I did not put the calipers to anything. It seemed like a moot point. The groups were shot at 25 yards to remove influence of any wind in the little pellet. I personally feel the shape of the groups in target #3 showed most promise, but the viewer can make their own observations. I expected a greater difference in results that may show up at greater distance, or this may just be an example of Red Wolf rifles doing what they do. Anyway, I hope that you find it interesting.

Thanks! I do find this interesting. I think that your gun and these cans are too good to be judging at this distance. Yeah, one group is the best, but one set beats that one group, etc.... You need to move out to 50y, at least just to help with comparisons. It's a nice problem to have!

I tend to agree. Hopefully, the weather will settle, and I'll move everything out to set up at a greater distance, and test some more. Nothing worse than hauling everything out, and have the weather turn.

I do the same thing with my AV targets...I get 5 groups going usually before moving to the next. My groups are always a little bigger, though😒😌 I agree, push it out a bit, however I usually keep it to 40Y in the wind. I've been off since Thursday and it's been raining or windy since Wed here.

@Pumacarl I may have been wrong. I put the calipers on them as I believe that there is data to be gathered from any test as long as parameters are set, and you have an instrument to measure them. That being said I grabbed the calipers, tossed out the worst group of each set for human error, and calculated aggregates. Also I performed the same test with a ghost.177 HP. The Ghost turned out it's best with just the barrel weight that came with it. It's best aggregate with a mod was the full length Ryu. The Red Wolf turned out nearly it's best the same way, but was edged out by the Ryu with one section removed. Distance would help make the results more obvious, but it seems that it is there.

Were on our five day streak with rain and flooding here in Missouri too. Worst weather in 20 years.
