Self-Loading Western Rattler and Sidewinder Barrels Specs

Last edited:
Are these specifications accurate for the .22 through .45 caliber Western Sidewinders and Rattlers (save the Long Strike)?

No, for current production. @AOA ROB can share new revisions but notably newer guns are supplied with Sub-MOA barrels (long-strike remains TJ). Mordax is Sub-MOA too. The date when barrel production was switched would be best noted by @AirgunsofAZ or @AOA ROB

Hello HAM

Western is constantly improving and upgrading. The barrel in the Rattler 357 and 45 short are coming with Sub Moa single point cut rifled and machine lapped as of November ish. There is always cross over as the TJ are used up. The Long strike is TJ.

The Sidewinder in all calibers is in the middle of the switch over.

The Mordax are all Sub Moa.

The Sub Moa barrels are very high quality and to my knowledge are the only single point cut barrels oem for airguns. They are extremely expensive and precise.

@AOA ROB Thank you

The twist rate options showed up after I first clicked on one of the crossed out calibers on the 28” unfinished barrel blank that is 1” in diameter.
