Western Airguns StingAir Pellets are a new introduction that are available from Airguns of Arizona and Precision Airgun Distribution dealers across the USA. They are another sign that Western Airguns is moving beyond just airguns and becoming a full-line airgun brand.
Kicking-off the range are four domed-head pellets. Two are in .22 caliber, two in .25 cal. They’re all mid/heavy weight ammo that are clearly intended for use in the modern generation of powerful PCP air rifles.
All are packaged in 3 1/4-Inch diameter screw-topped tins and include black foam disks inside to absorb shipping shocks.
The good old “thumbnail test” rates these lead pellets as quite hard, probably indicating the presence of a fairly high proportion of an alloy such as Antimony. Combined with the chunky skirts, visible in the photographs, these look to be a robust product that are able to absorb a fair amount of mis-handling in shipping.
The tins that arrived here at the HAM offices showed no damaged or malformed pellets. They were also quite clean, with a low amount of the inevitable dirt and other junk that always makes its way into pellet tins.

The .22 caliber pellet range starts with this 21.90 Grain domed diablo design. These have a classic, wasp-waisted profile.
As with all these Western pellets, they are supplied in high-count tins. In this case it’s 315 pellets per tin. This allows them to be offered at surprisingly aggressive pricing.
At $14.29 per tin, that’s just 4.54 Cents each.
The second .22 caliber pellet design are somewhat heavier at 25.39 Grains. These have a longer skirt configuration, as you can see from the photograph below.
Also supplied in 315-count tins, at $15.99/tin, the unit price here is 5.08 Cents each.

Similar configurations are to be found in the larger caliber.
The 25.39 Grain, .25 caliber pellets are wasp-waisted, traditional diablos. Also packaged in 315-count cans, the selling price of $19.99 means that they work-out at around 6.34 Cents each.
The heavyweight .25 caliber pellets weigh 33.8 Grains. Again, they are to the long-skirt design.
At $19.99 for a 280-count tin, these pellets have an individual price of $7.14 Cents each.
