The Umarex Verada CO2 air pistol is a product that the HAM Team is really looking forward to seeing! And – according to Airgun Depot – it’s scheduled to be available from about the second week in September, 2026.
HAM readers first saw this gun in our report from the 2026 IWA Show in Germany. In Europe it’s known as the Umarex SPA Professional. There’s also a “SPA Master” model that’s very similar but powered by HPA, rather than CO2.
It’s clearly another iteration of the Umarex Avera that HAM (almost) liked so much. Actually we loved everything about the Avera, except for the unbelievably-heavy trigger pull. If the Verada has a decent trigger, it would be a winner!
We’re hopeful because the Verada has a bolt-action, combined with a 9-shot auto-indexing magazine.
This means that pulling the trigger does not also need to also rotate the magazine – as it does in the Avera. So the trigger pull weight should/could be a lot less (we hope)…
Of course, a major attraction of the Verada is the low price. It’s going to be selling for just $74.99. That’s a great price, particularly for a “semi target”-type pistol with magazine feed and adjustable sights.
Umarex Verada CO2 air pistol specs include around 40 shots per fill from one 12 Gram CO2 cartridge. That’s combined with a Muzzle Velocity of up to about 490 FPS in .177 caliber.
That low FPS means also a low Muzzle Energy of not much more than 3 Ft/Lbs. But this can be a big advantage for a Winter basement-shooter. Even more so as the muzzle is threaded M10 x 1 for a dedicated airgun silencer (where legal)!
Another big advantage is the provision of a Picatinny rail above the barrel. That’s ideal for mounting a red dot sight and so is very helpful for those of us with eyes which are no longer capable of using open sights.
At about 1 Lb 13 Oz, the Verada is light. The overall length is 15.5 Inches.
